Joe Judge says Giants have not given serious thought as of yet to placing an extra quarterback in quarantine for the regular season.
Said for camp and moving forward, he believes following all guidelines is enough to protect every player, not just the QBs.
Unsigned does them no good because they can't keep up to date with the changing playbook. Practice squad could theoretically work, although also risky. If it's worth doing at all, it's worth keeping the guy on the roster. It's 55 this year (although I still see people saying 53, so maybe I'm wrong).
RE: RE: Tanney or Rush unsigned & quarantined would be a nice emergency plan

I went over this a few weeks ago. It is annoyingly complicated. It is basically 53 but can be expanded to 55 if you meet certain criteria like a certain amount of OL and you bring up your PS player. The PS players expand it to 55 and there is a max on how many weeks a PS player can be brought up while still maintaining his rights and not subjecting him to waivers.
it sounds more like a way to avoid putting injured players on IR. That injured person stays on the roster and then a PS player takes his place for X weeks so it delays a permanent decision being made.
RE: Tanney or Rush unsigned & quarantined would be a nice emergency plan
I didn't think that any team would be willing to sign Tanney if the Giants cut him but with Shurmur and Shula now in Denver together they would probably push hard for Elway to sign Tanney to mentor Lock.
I would venture to say half the teams in the league
There is no mistaking that he is in charge. There is no mistaking that he is no nonsense. There is no mistaking that he has an ear tuned to individual needs when that need arises.
Quite an amazing performance, the scope of his knowledge and responsibilities, very smart, a Belichekian mind and no hesitancy in answering multi-part questions.
But, it will be a more disciplined, all in mentality that will have this team playing better each and every week"
