I used to reside in Boca, hence BocaGene, but I've lived in Las Vegas since 2003. I've been following the progress of this stadium since they broke ground via the very good cameras that the Raiders have had on site since the beginning.
Go to link to see all kinds of neat videos, especially Mike Rowe's videos. The newest video shows the lead architect and his team inspecting the suites. The cameras are still active.
There is also a video of the grass field that the Raiders will use being slid in from outside where is sits for sunlight and maintenance.
Allegiant Stadium is also the home to UNLV and they are using a synthetic grass field. Just imagine being a 4/5 star HS recruit and playing in a pro stadium like this one. The UNLV program is going to be big time. BTW, UNLV has separate lockers & fitness area.
The first event for this 65,000 venue is a Garth Brooks concert and tickets were sold out in 90 minutes for the 8/22/2020 event. Yesterday, it was announced that the concert has been moved to February.
It is interesting to note that this two billion project continued night & day during COVID with only a handful of workers testing positive.
I hope the Raiders offer locals a chance to visit this magnificent stadium for sightseeing. For those familiar with I-15, this stadium is so close to the interstate that it seems to just loom up out of nowhere. At night, the neon (this is Las Vegas afterall) really looks awesome!

Stan saying something stupid?
I’m shocked - shocked I say!
[quote] Despite Las Vegas's glitz, it is relatively poor town based on the local populace. Venture a few miles from the Strip and that becomes very clear. The locals there cannot support an NFL team. Where are they going to get their support ? Visiting NFL fans ? Maybe once every six years when the Giants and Cowboys come to town. Fans driving in from L.A. ? They already have two teams that are getting tepid support at best. Asian tourists ? Couldn't care less about American football. Their fans from Oakland
? Don't make me laugh.
I personally do not think they will suffer at all.
In fact, just gain more review with the amenities and boxes they have now. I have always thought home field advantage is overrated. The Casino's alone can and will buy a large amount of the PSL's for comps.
The biggest hurdle IMO is putting a quality product on the field to fill the remaining seats and they do look like they are on the way to do so.
If anyone goes to Vegas and is not a member of their go to rewards casino I would join quickly. I am looking forward to free tickets when we are out there.
Ron you don't have a clue. Vegas is a boom town. The hockey team is supported to the max and football will be even bigger. The suburbs of vegas are beautiful. Summerlin and Henderson are loaded with very wealthey people, plus the cost of living here is way less than NY/NJ

So why is Los Angeles a shitty town for pro football if it's about nice suburbs and wealth?

Because there is a history of LA being a shitty town for pro football? Maybe? Perhaps?
