never seemed he got enough ice time, or maybe it was because he didn't make the most of what he got. He shows flashes of speed and strength getting around the d-man and cutting in on goal from the circle, but then not finishing, or at least not as much as I would like. Haven't noticed him a lot in checking mode, but I could have been inattentive.

Pronman had Stützle moving to 2nd off the board, ahead of Byfield in his draft issue late last week.

The NHL scouts' takes (vs. the team GMs' takes that formed the basis for the mock) were at some serious odds with some of the selections, as pj indicated on certain of the 'draftees'.

absolutely destroyed Sergachev - looked like boarding - no call.

But later Klinberg tripped Volkov - Lightning back to the PP.

gets his own rebound and scores on the PP.

TBL up 1 - 0

like Khudobin lost the puck and the rebound went right back to Point.

Nice pass by Kucherov on the entry, no clue how Point had that much room, even on the PP

Stars to the PP

pass from Maroon to Coleman, Coleman one-times it past the sliding Khudobin.

2 - 0 TBL, 13 left in the second.

to Coleman, - Maroon made the play though keeping the puck with a nice hand eye coordination play to knock a puck out the air.

backs in to Vasilevsky and knocks him over to erase the PP.

Dumb play

3rd with TBL up 2 - 0.

"Interesting" strategy by the Stars. They gave a grand total of 8 shots on net through 2 periods and half of them came on one PP.

Would be something to see them come out really aggressive in the 3rd as they lulled TBL into a false sense of security with the rope a dope

in the 3rd, not much changed for DAL. They have 1 shot so far in the period

Lightning dominated this series more than the 4-2 showing would indicate.

From what I've read it basically takes all summer to schedule each guy to get time with the cup.

side note, after the Kings beat the Rangers in 2014, Jonathan Quick brought the cup to my home town hockey rink (he played youth hockey and a couple years of high school before going to Avon Old Town in my town)

I don't know if they were better than NYR with Price or not, but it would definitely be a better series with him.

I do think they matched up better with LAK.

My recollection was that MTL just looked gassed towards the end of that series.

Rangers could have won if they got a few 3rd period or OT breaks even though they were outplayed.

Oct 9 is free agency.

I'll leave it to you and Route 9 - after the draft, we can do a free agency one. There may be some trades starting to formulate pre-draft.

The problem with starting it now is (for me at any rate) you have to start digging for a thread contributor's name to locate the thread.
