day 1 halfway done. Figured I''d start a thread for not just the Rangers games.
Rangers and Canes were rusty on specials (though CAR looked much better), 1 for 14 combined on the PP. Good intensity though, hard hitting game. I thought Hank was great.
I didn't see any of NYI vs FLA, but the score is about what I'd expect from a Trotz team.
PIT came out like a house on fire, Price stood tall and MTL's two youngsters, Kotkaniemi and Suzuki have the Habs with a 2 - 0 lead. momentum is starting to shift to MTL, but PIT can score quickly. MTL defense is a massive Achilles heel.
27 seconds left.
3 min left in the 2nd and shots are 11 to 10.
I tuned in just in time to see the Sanheim goal - pretty sweet move
No surprise.

It is a bit. The biggest knock on him as a Ranger was his inconsistency. Well, he found out this season.

And this is just me personally, nothing I dislike more than a 6' 5" 220 pound finesse player.
It's like wasting a gift from god.
no idea if that has changed in PHI
It feels as if the Rangers were eliminated from the competition two weeks ago. Calgary shuts out Winnipeg 4-0, win qualifying round series.
Congratulations to former New York Rangers goalie, Cam Talbot.
Yikes. Calgary outscored Winnipeg 16-6 in the series. I'm going to keep my eye on Calgary, going ahead and they seem to be a tough out.
I still have the scumbag Philadelphia Flyers winning this whole thing.

We lost first so we deserve the #1 pick.
ARI can close out NSH at 2:30 on NHLN
MTL can close out PIT at 4:00 on NBCSN
CHI can close out EMD at 6:45 on NBCSN
CBJ can close out TOR at 8:00 on NHLN
VAN can close out MIN at 10:45 on NBCSN
"the Flames could be a sneaky team if they get some momentum. skill, grit, solid D. no one likes playing a team like that."
Flames and Av's my two WC favorites. LVG would be 3rd.
panthers - 0
panthers - 0
He's having a great series. If he's as streaky as NYI fans say, hope he's superstitious too and keeps doing what he's doing.
Because if Ekblad, Huberdeau, and Barkov weren't enough. Hell, they may be giving the Oilers a run for their money.
Their D was really bad. The Matheson and Bob contracts are going to be really hard to move to let them try to utilize the cap effectively. I think the 2 of them are taking 15 mil/year for the next 6 years

have punched their ticket to the 2020 NHL playoffs, FLA has entered the Lafreniere sweepstakes.

I hope Columbus eliminates Toronto tonight as well
The Leafs/Coyotes/Panthers are all great examples of the limitations of elite talent and importance of depth.

the Leafs more than the others. TOR has $33M tied up in Tavares, Matthews, and Marner.
I don't think anyone in the league is as top heavy as TOR.
FLA basically has that $33M spread out over their top 5 or 6.
Huge difference. Of course TOR top 3 are awesome, but when your bottom 6 is trash and your D is brutal your lack of depth will lose games for you - as you indicated.

Good point. I think literally everyone on earth would have signed Tavares, but you can make an argument you needed to spread that out across the roster instead.
2 - 2 after 2. Good game so far.
the Pens had better chance shorthanded than the habs did on the PP.
Such a momentum shift.
the Predators are in the Lafreniere sweepstakes.

So what is everyone expecting with this guy?
Or is he going to be a Alexandre Daigle?
