Rangers and Canes were rusty on specials (though CAR looked much better), 1 for 14 combined on the PP. Good intensity though, hard hitting game. I thought Hank was great.
I didn't see any of NYI vs FLA, but the score is about what I'd expect from a Trotz team.
PIT came out like a house on fire, Price stood tall and MTL's two youngsters, Kotkaniemi and Suzuki have the Habs with a 2 - 0 lead. momentum is starting to shift to MTL, but PIT can score quickly. MTL defense is a massive Achilles heel.
Many future Norris trophies in his future.
with Makar and Hughes, Heiskanen seems to go unnoticed but I think i'd take him over both of them.
two Heiskanen goals has the Stars up 3 - 1 over the Flames almost halfway through the 2nd.
CAL comes back with 2 3rd period goals to tie the game at 4, and then DAL scores late to win it.
And Jamie Oleksiak - a most unlikely source for the GW.

Yes, I too like when players speak candidly, but he also said after they went winless in the round robin that it was time for real hockey now that "whatever that was called is over" so seems a little bit of excuse making.
I thought BOS played well, but CAR is a tough team. Solid at the blue line (better than solid actually), skilled up front. I felt like goalie was their Achilles heel, but the D has helped cover up the weakness and have to give Mrazek and Reimer credit so far, nothing going in that shouldn't go in.
Habs up 2 - 0, under 7 left in the 1st.
Maybe losing Julien breathed some life into the Habs.
Hope they don't hit a wall, this PHI team is very talented and can score quickly.

Really good game, watched it while...working. 75% Game 25% work:). Great pace by both teams all game. I knew AZ would come out guns blazing after dropping game 1 but even with that, they surprised me...not sure whether they can take it to a higher level than they showed today. Guess we will see.

Nice showing for MTL, even in the loss game 1, they're showing they can play with anyone.

Alain Vigneault didn't like that Kirk Muller put his No. 1 power play on the ice late in the game: "We had embarassed ourselves enough. I'm not sure we needed to be embarassed more."
