to quarantine. With schools re-opening? Forget about it. These news reports of individuals getting positive tests back will become blase at some point. Honestly, already getting there.
wish him the best. God bless. Prayers to his family and friends.
This is sadly going to be quite common. Sports that cannot play in a "bubble" will likely be shut down. Even the NBA and NHL can only do it long enough to finish their current seasons. They obviously can't do it for an entire regular season.
I’m honestly convinced

There is a faction of society (and on a much smaller scale, BBI posters) who actually enjoy when there is a negative COVID development that gives them an opportunity to say I told you so. It’s like flies on shit.

Agreed. NFL rosters are just too big, compared to the other sports. There are too many moving pieces and variables here. Sure, a 'week apart' and all, but if one catches it, it can spread like wildfire. A bunch of teams may not operate at full strength. Pure dumb luck may determine who wins or not, any given Sunday.
I’m honestly convinced

And we’re off!
Where did any of these posters say they are happy about Pedersen getting the virus or "I told you so"? They are saying to cancel the season due to the seeming impossibility of containing the virus.

There are a small number of BBIers who actually think that other posters are rooting for cancellation of the NFL season, simply because these other posters dare to suggest that the games may not happen due to Covid-19.
It’s similar to those BBIers from a few years ago who were convinced that Giants’ fans who wanted to draft a QB instead of Barkley, would be rooting against Barkley (and against the Giants) just so they could be proven “right” on an internet message board.
I’m sure that those BBIers were “honestly convinced” too.

Here's another way to put it. Something can be so obvious, and when other ignore it, you simply have to point out that you were right, a "told you so". It's not really an enjoyment.
Example - You can be the biggest Giants fan in the world, and if you think they go about building the team incorrectly in very key areas - you are going to point it out. You're making an assessment.
Not because you are happy, but because you are right.
But if it were up to me, I'd have the games played as long as there are enough perfectly willing players to field two teams on game day. I don't care if it's sloppy. I don't care if the Giants suck. I just want to be able to watch Giants football.
If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. I won't complain. But I'm all for them giving it a shot (as long as the players want it, too).

I just do not see how they can do it in front of full stadiums - without the case numbers going up. The fake placards with faces on them look bad ... and sort of desperate? If they play in front of crowds where people sit in every 4 or 5 chairs - how do they chose who gets the seats?
Whatever happens - this is going to be a weird year for Football. I guess you can say that about all sports but, the rest of them do not matter to me as much as Football does ...
that contracted covid have serious implications? I heard about Freddie Freeman, but he has been playing since opening day.
And I agree with DK, so many are so quick to say “cancel the season”, I disagree with that at this point.
Eduardo Rodriguez for the Red Sox developed myocarditis from Covid-19 and will be shut down for the season now.
a) the Red Sox are being justifiably cautious. ER is apparently doing much better now.
b) he did not get Covid during the season, he got it during his offseason. So many here assume the risk to players is 0 if they dont play... thats obviously not the case.

I'd guess money?
Are they going to sell (re-sell) season ticket holders seat's or does all that money get returned to the season ticket holders and then it is a game by game basis? Of course someone who goes to the game is going to pay for tickets but, what tickets. I was under the impression the PSLs were already paid for.
All the best
So help me God Im gonna get to the bottom of this.

If there is a model to follow, it's the one they followed.
Baseball with multiple games and traveling is very different. Would even consider day of travel , no hotel.
