NFT: NJ Healthcare Marketplace question

BigBlue89 : 8/3/2020 8:10 am
I'm losing my health care coverage due to job loss, so I'm looking at the marketplace and trying to figure out which plan I should get.

My doctor is covered by Blue Cross, but at the silver level they have two plans:

OMNIA Silver
Horizon Advantage EPO Silver

Any experts have advice on which I should pick?

Thanks in advance for your help.
The problem with the Marketplace plans is the huge deductible

They’re really more like major medical only given it’s hard to get through the deductible. Are you sure there isn’t something else if you want Drs office visits covered or a major medical only policy if that Is enough. They seem the worst if both worlds.

How important is it to keep your current Physician ?

Do you generally need a lot of Doctorin' at this time ?

How close are you to Medicare at age 65 ?

What's the difference in cost between Silver and Bronze levels ??
My son just signed up for this...

and as an individual, it is costing him about $86 per month, with a $700 deductible and then they cover everything at 85% until you hit the maximum out of pocket of $2k.
There's always COBRA...

go direct. You can obtain it from a broker. At least this way you have someone knowledgeable to discuss it with.
