Sanchez and Sano seem to be drinking from the same tonic. Time to trade up for the Cruz and Papi version.

Tropeano over Heller?
Judge and DJ are to get them some rest:

Tauchman as our leadoff hitter starting in LF. I want to see more of this:

TAUCHMAN
DJ
JUDGE
STANTON
TORRES
HICKS
VOIT
SANCHEZ
URSHELA
give me robot umps
RasputinPrime : 8/6/2020 6:14 pm : link
or stop showing me how bad the human umps are behind the plate. Either is better than what we currently have.

I'd also like a standard viewing camera that is directly behind the pitcher for every team. All this talk about spin rate and no change to our ability as fans to appreciate these pitches.
Turned it on just in time

to see that 3rd strike called on Stanton...here we go again.
Here we go again
Eman11 : 8/6/2020 6:16 pm : link
Another K on a shitty call by the HP ump. That ball was down and probably not even in a smaller guy like Altuve's strike zone let alone Stanton's.

Here's hoping Monty gets the same call.
re Ken Davidoff's article
RasputinPrime : 8/6/2020 6:20 pm : link
he can go fuck himself. I want no part of 7 inning games.

The problem with pace of play is that there are people who think we have a problem with the length of games.
Monty today
RasputinPrime : 8/6/2020 6:25 pm : link
like Loasiga yesterday, not going right after hitters. You have to trust your stuff.
and after grooving a shitty change

and getting away with it, he serves up another one.

3-0

Yep, I can agree with you. Baseball is a nine inning game in the pros.

attaboy ump

keep fucking calling shit off the plate a strike. Pitchers need more help.
instead of calling it "pitch framing"
RasputinPrime : 8/6/2020 6:41 pm : link
they should just be direct and call it "ump fucking". Maybe then these donkeys would take it personally and start doing their job better.

Of this disgrace of an ump coming from Booney real soon. Especially since Hoskins walked on that same pitch he's punched Gary and Stanton out on.

Mike Tauchman is the fucking truth.
two run single for Tauchman
RasputinPrime : 8/6/2020 6:48 pm : link
3-2

He really needs to start and leadoff. He is spraying the ball and he has great speed.
FUCK YOU DONKEY
RasputinPrime : 8/6/2020 6:53 pm : link
that was strike three to Kingery. Easy.
anyone think that Andujar
RasputinPrime : 8/6/2020 6:57 pm : link
still has a spot on this team? he and Frazier seem to be destined either to collect dust or get moved. I'm not against keeping young talent pushing for PT when the injuries inevitably come and I don't want the Yankees to sell low on any of them this season.

Over DJ? I could see it if they moved everyone down a spot but they really like Judge in the 2 hole and I honestly don't see them moving DJ. They want him getting as many ab's as possible.

I think the normal 1-2 of DJ and Judge is pretty much set in stone for them when they're not getting a day off.

I think Miggy does but not Frazier.

Miggy might have to bide his time this year but next year once Gardy is gone, it opens up a spot in the OF. Frazier I think is one spot behind Miggy and I'm not sure how he fits.

I agree that DJ and Judge likely aren’t moving, but DJ is the absolute PERFECT number two hitter. I would love for them to slide them back a spot but it’s probably not happening

DJ and Judge don't need to be split up. Just move them both down with Tauchman hitting in front of DJ. Turn 2 run into 3 run bombs and you open up the hole even wider for DJ.

arcarsenal : 8/6/2020 7:10 pm : link
I would move Frazier for pitching and hang onto Andujar.

Gardner will be gone after this year, so I wouldn't deal both. Keep one of them - and I like Andujar more. I think he's the better hitter and he's also able to play 3B in a pinch, so the positional versatility is important.

I was hoping fraizer would stick. Just seems he can't catch a break unfortunately.

Bad Inning!

And go out there with a fishing pole for their next ab.
Ump
Percy : 8/6/2020 7:37 pm : link

just get out of this inning

And yes, someone needs to get to the showers early tonight the next time we get umped.

Yup. You'd think with these guys knowing the tech is out there and coming, they'd do everything they could to be as good as possible. Maybe if they were really good they could hold the tech off but so many are just bad at their jobs, it's giving more and more fans reason to want the robot umps a sap.

I know I'm pretty much old school with most things baseball, and a few years ago would've never even considered having robo umps but I'm all for them if they can get the tech right.

Let’s be honest here. And I’m not one to complain about the lineup, it drives me crazy when people do it on every freakin game thread. But I don’t care, I’m gonna be that guy this time. Taking your two best players out of the lineup on the same day after having a day off two days ago is inexcusable. They have actually had a ton of days off through this mess. With only a 60 game season these guys shouldn’t be “resting” two days after having yet another day off. It’s infuriating

Makes sense. But everybody has to hit. No one is even laying solid wood on the ball no matter who pitching. Well, except that last one by Urshela.
I love Andujar

but somehow Urshela's bat has arrived for real. He sure has been outstanding for us so far.
