Glasnow will only go 4 innings but he’ll have 10 strikeouts, Sanchez twice...
Hopefully someone from the Yanks connects on a long ball because if he's on, Glasnow will be tough to string some hits together.
I like getting some lefties in there, and Ford getting the opportunity in the 3-hole. I'd love to see him produce and force more playing time like Tauchman has.
So, who's our #2 catcher now?
· Placed C Kyle Higashioka on the 10-day IL with a right oblique strain (retro to 8/6).
· Recalled INF Thairo Estrada (#71) from the Alternate Site.
· Signed C Erik Kratz (#38) to a Major League contract and selected him to the active roster.
Glasnow, Meadows for Archer
Cole for Musgrove/Moran/Feliz
Meanwhile, the Rays are really shrewd.
Yea hows that sub 91 avg looking lol dont worry though, at least his defense is good.
The guy is a fucking lazy bum. He hits homers off trash pitching. Bases loaded again for.him and he Ks...this time a ball way out of the zone.

Agree. At least put the ball in play
They should have traded him before last season, he had value. His defense wis what it is. His laziness was never gping away.
Now he has littl3 value.
Last night a lazy backhanded attempt behind the plate that gets by him and puts the eventual winning run at 3rd. Now today swings at a pitch way up to strike out when a walk there could decide this game.
It wasn't like that pitch was up and close, it was shoulder height at best and nowhere near a high strike.

He sucks
Behind the plate he is lazy and gets lax
At the plate he has no approach or discipline. He just fucking hacks away trying to pull everything and hit moon shots
He isnt a winning player and ive said it for 2 years....give me romine all day
2-0
Takes two high pitches and sits on a fastball and drives it.
Take notes sanchez
I believe.
4-0
It's not giving up on him - it is that there is so much love for him that turns very quickly when he struggles like this.
Everyone turning on him now should reach out to his agent and offer up a warm reach-around.
I gave up on gary over a year ago.
No way yanks should pay him
I wish they coulda traded him
what?
Gary missing Cole's change up on Choi blew a K for Cole and 3 runs. The pitch was a strike but Gary missing it caused Wendelstadt to call it a ball.

I've usually been right there with Greg defending Gary but I'm about done. Gio just bailed him out not locating a pop up. We should have dealt him when we had the chance. I get his power is tantalizing, but his command of the strike zone is non existant and the boom or bust is enough already. He also just will never be a good receiver. I know this coach has a good track record with framing, so we'll play ouit the year and see what happens but I'm really about done. a 450 ft blast once in awhile doesn't make up for weeks of flailing.
