He was an excellent player for us. Our defense was highly ranked in FCS and the secondary was the strength of the defense. However with lack of practice time all rookies are going to suffer. I wish him the best. I have been a season ticket holder at UNH the last 15 years and watch all the away games. He will have a chance if given the opportunity.
A 5'10" UDFA CB from the powerhouse of UNH who's greatest asset is his "competitiveness" and worst is poor technique. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say we shouldn't be too excited. MUCH prefer Cockrell.
I'd still expect a vet to show up here at some point. It may be once other teams make some cuts or it may be via trade, but I can't see us staying with the group we have now.

He is a UDFA from this years draft who I assume PHI let go to get to the 80 man limit. Definitely NOT a "replacement" for Cockrell, just another body in the defensive backfield for camp...or whatever they are doing.
I don't know the player and cannot speak for his ability... just your comment about 4.6 being slow.
On the track yes 4.6 is slow. However, many players who time better play slower.
The other thing people fail to realize is much of your game speed is relates to how quickly you process what is happening mentally. A guy with 4.6 speed could be around the ball much quicker than a faster player if his anticipation and mental aspect of the game is superior.
I have seen many fast guys running in the wrong direction.
