This was the most impressive comeback at the last minute by Eli which made me think 'Wow! Now we've finally got ourselves a clutch franchise quarterback!'
but 2009 vs the Raiders. He left the game early, but the beginning of that season up until I think he hurt his foot in that game, he was on fire. I remember watching that game thinking he was going to put up crazy-ass numbers he was making it look so easy. But for a short while in that game he was perfect.
First home loss for the Patriots in a thousand years. First meeting between NYFG and NE since XLII. Game winning pass to Jake Ballard at the end of regulation. No Nicks, no Bradshaw, no problem.

The first several games were like that. The chiefs, raiders, and some others were just totally lopsided games. Until our defense shit the bed from injuries and mismanagement I thought we had a great team. The offense was unbelievable
-The near comeback vs undefeated Carolina in 2015 and the near comeback vs New England in 2007, both loses, stand out to me because he never gave up and carried the team back in the game.
-2011 Week 17 winner takes all vs Dallas. Eli was not going to let us lose, played like he was the best QB in the whole NFL on that day.
I remember a game in 2008, when Eli beat Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh, when nobody beat the Steelers at home. Eli had a ballsy 4th quarter, that carried the team that day.
I was at this game. I remember they showed his stats on the big screen. 4 touchdowns, close to 300 yards and NO interceptions. The old stadium went wild like "finally" we got to see him do what he came here to do.
Tore it up. He and the rest of the offense were on fire that day.
It was hot as fuck that day.
It was. And we were sitting in the upper tier behind one of the endzones. Sun was right on us. But it was worth it. The 2005 team is one of my favorite Giants teams that didn't win a championship.
The question was regular season performance so I will go with 2011 season. He easily could have won the MVP.
2012 Tampa Bay game was real fun. With him, Nicks and Cruz it looked like it was going to be a really fun season. Nicks getting hurt that game was a killer. We never saw hi at full strength again.
I knew he had arrived against the Eagles in 2006. Got the shit beaten out of him but he never gave up and had an amazing comeback. I remember that game and think of Rocky II when Apollo's trainer doesn't want Apollo to fight Rocky again. He says something like "He's all wrong for you. You gave him a huge beating but the man just kept coming".
Ding Ding. No question about it. That whole season was the very best we ever saw from Eli but he was brilliant in this comeback. I remember telling people that this game summed up Eli and Romo. Romo was great in this game too yet choked when it mattered most by air mailing a wide open Miles Austin that would have sealed the game and Eli led two incredible TD drives with under 5 min left to win the game. I think a lot of people will remember this as a JPP game but Eli was brilliant as well.
2006 in Philadelphia. He was sacked eight times (eight times!!!) and still lead a furious comeback. They scored 17 unanswered in the 4th and another 6 in overtime, Manning to Burress to win it and stun that awful crowd. You knew then that you had a QB that wasn't going down without a fight.
i've waxed poetic about 2011@ dallas too many times to count
pound for pound, what was at stake for both teams, what came of that win for both teams, the degree of difficulty and the manner in which the giants rose from the dead and went on to win a super bowl about 6 weeks later? No game captured more.
Giants were down 2 scores with the game all but over. The season was all but over. Dallas is winning the east. Giants are home for the holidays. That means NO Victor Cruz 99 yard TD. No wipeout of Dallas in Jersey week 17. No skull fucking of ATL and GB in the playoffs. No toughest moment ever for ELi in SF. No super bowl 46. Kiss it all goodbye. Coughlin is likely gone one year later assuming they miss out again in 2012.
@ Dallas. No moment in NYG history walked a finer tightrope between ultimate glory and doomed despair. Eli and JPP should never have to buy a drink in this town again for that game alone.

It was a XLVI Prematch. game recap - ( New Window )
yes most of 2011 was Eli putting the team on his back
thing is, at the time, we didn't know how awesome that moment would be where as a game like the 1981 finale at the swamp against Dallas saw immediate reward or celebratory moments. We finally beat Dallas. We actually had a legit shot to make the playoffs for the first time in 100 years. OT. Finally hit the FG after so many failed attempts from Danielo. Where as @ dallas 2011, while dramatic, didn't cement anything other than Dallas didn't bury the Giants and we still had life.
Fully aware ELi didn't play in the 81 game, just making the point of how that game is viewed compared to 2011. Eli has had many great moments. 2006 @ philly was great, but what did it lead to? 2005 Denver was nice. Didn't lead to a title although it did lead to the eastern crown.
I am also partial to any game that sees NY beat Dallas
could be his individual performance that while great didn’t lead the team to anything that season. Or maybe where his stats aren’t great but how he overcame adversity or a tough defense to pull out a Giant win that did lead to playoffs. Or maybe just a great comeback.
The game you picked had it all.
RE: Well it depends on the question. Most impressive

I remember talking to a friend before and after that game probably much of what was being said here that this game was perfect timing for the giants that season. It was such a weird up n down year, certainly frustrating at times but nearly everyone couldn’t shake this feeling that the 2011 giants had a special aura or vibe to them. I know I said it and felt it. The Dallas game represented a perfect line of demarkation. It was alll lined up and we’d know one way or the other what the 2011 nyg team really was.
Then they pull out the comeback and we’re all in and then they lose one week later at home to the skins, lol. BUT, it was still all there on a platter. Then came cruz and 99 yards and we all started feeling a little freaky.
Otherwise, there were many, though down 27-7 at Vets against the Eagles and coming back to win in OT..
Then of course, in 2011, the blocked JPP FG game in Dallas down by 12 with around 5 1/2 minutes to play. Effectively got us into playoffs
