To buddy up to star players, any coach will eventually lose this team and they will keep stinking. He has run through every type of coach imaginable and never won a thing. The hot shot college coach - Steve Spurrier. Failed. The wiz kid offensive coordinator in Norv Turner. Failed. The renowned QB whisperer Jim Zorn. Failed. The West Coast offense guy, Jay Gruden. Failed. Multiple Super Bowl winners, Joe Gibbs and Mike Shanahan. Failed and failed. Old school tough guy, Marty Schottenheimer. Failed. He bungles along, interfering with personnel, coddling players, demanding changes to game plans and who does what. He has had two of the best head coaches of all time and they both left with nothing to show for it but a couple of playoff flame outs and a ruined QB career (RG3). Rivera will rally them early but he too will never win a title or challenge for one and he'll depart before too long because Snyder is an insufferable ass who not even Joe Gibbs could tolerate.

How surprising could this have been to any of them? Becoming a minority, part owner in an NFL team with Snyder as the majority owner turned out to be a disaster. No exit hopes for those minority guys now. And even if Snyder was willing to sell the team, which he isn't, its value after his fine work with it and now the virus (visions of empty stadiums) may be well below the inflated hopes nurtured in the pre-virus (and pre-Snyder) glory days.
