I think the other thread got 86'd. Anyway - watched a little of Clippers-Mavs today - no KP again. Tim Hardaway Jr. went 2-11 from three-point range and was minus 31 in 33 minutes. Doncic is great but that's not much of a supporting cast he had today. Clippers move on and the Mavs are done.
I presume he'll get surgery now that the Mavs are out. Probably should have had it scoped back in January when he sat out for three weeks.

They had such a great offseason. Swapped a major problem star but arguably a better player and definitely better fit/ person. While also avoiding a disaster of a contract for Horford. Really underrated but great offseason. One of the best run teams in all of sports.
I think the Raptors might be a better team than the Celtics in general, and I think they'd have a better chance of stopping Giannis and the Bucks due to their defensive personnel. But head to head, it really seems like the Celtics have the Raptors number due to the size/skill of the wing players. Siakam isn't ready to be the primetime scorer in a tough playoff series, and Lowry is a great all-around player but not a guy you can count on to lead the team in scoring during a playoff run.
7 out of 17 ESPN "experts" picked the Miami Heat to beat the Bucks in their matchup. This is a big moment in Giannis' career right here. He's the 2x MVP and DPOY, he's pretty clearly the best regular season player in basketball at this point. When they lost to Kawhi and the Raptors last year, you could classify it as growing pains. But this is Giannis' time, with no LeBron or Kawhi in the conference, he needs to cement himself as the King of the East.
The Heat are a dangerous team and pose some issues for the Bucks. But this is probably the first make-or-break test of Giannis' superstar career. Giannis is actually older than LeBron was when LeBron made "the decision". If he gets upset by the Heat, all we're going to hear about is "Where is Giannis going to go?" next year. Excited to see what Giannis can do in this series.
Maybe it picks up in the coming rounds, but I do feel very little buzz as well.
1. No fans in attendance
2. Bars mostly still closed
3. Offices are largely WFH - no "water cooler" discussions of the playoffs
4. Lack of fan enthusiasm due to the short-circuited season (or for the NFL, the likelihood of it getting delayed/postponed at some point)
That loss for the Rockets is on Westbrook. A warm body would have been a better option for rockets tonight.
And we’re officially off to Game 7.
I wouldn't count out Milwaukee already.

God I hate that!!!!

Milwaukee just doesnt have that 2nd guy, giannis is amazing but he cant do it by himself...Celtics just build a wall around the rim
Yeah meant heat build a wall aroind the rim..
Heat are a bad matchup because they have a bunch of athletic wings that can switch and get out to the 3 point linr after helping..
Giannis was asked about guarding butler and he yelled at the reporter
I think both D'Antoni and Morey's jobs are on the line in Game 7. CP3 is making the Rockets look like idiots. And if Morey gets fired, I really wonder what his future job prospects are after the whole China situation. Most owners probably hate him. He's been a guy who takes a lot of risks with the Rockets and done a really good job overall. I hope they pull it out in Game 7 for him.
Osi, I think Morey would get a job somewhere else, even with the China/Hong Kong controversy. He's a really good GM.

He basically why would you ask that, he said he listens to the coaches, he said question didnt make sense
Good game here between Celts & Raps.
They will win a lot of regular season games but in the playoffs you need closers, they are basically the same team as when they had derozen
That is why i dont think they offer van veet a bkg contract
If they pull it out the game is over there was only 1 utah player defending, Murray pulls it out there is 1 or 2 seconds with no timeouts for utah
When you have a layup to end the game, you take it over dribbling a few more seconds off.
The issue was missing the layup, the idea that taking that layup is the wrong call is asinine. He makes a layup and the game is without question over

you pull it out they foul you, there is 2 maybe 3 seconds left, even if you miss 1 of the free throws, utah has to go length of the floor with no timeouts..
Pulling it out ends the game, to many things can go wrong trying to score there and it almost ended up sending the nuggets home..
Jazz would habe never gotten that look after an inbound

You make the layup and the game is 100% over.
A layup. You take the layup to end the game.
A layup is probably a 95% minimum play for an NBA player, why would you ever pass that up when it ends the game?
Under no circumstance do I ever pass up a layup that will end the game.
