Who should i start in my flex? Standard nonppr league
Melvin Gordon or Kerryon Johnson?

I have Johnson inly for this week. He should get bulk of carries with Swift never playing a nfl game and AP new to team.

Projections are
Gordon 10.02
KJ 11.53

Thanks
Gordon
Bobby Humphrey's Earpad : 9/12/2020 8:53 am : link
I don't know what Detroit is doing. Gordon will at least give you goal-line carries against a TEN defense that was bottom third in points to RBs.

Gordon's next two games are against PIT/TB, so might as well get some use of out him this week.
i'd lean Gordon
UConn4523 : 9/12/2020 8:57 am : link
with Galloday out id' be worried about Detroit playing from behind all game. I'd probably go Gordon since gameflow won't really effect him as much, he will be the 3rd down pass catcher for Denver.

Good luck.

I want nothing to do with Detroit RBs.

What did KJ do with no competition last year? Now he has AP and Swift. Not sure why you think KJ would be a better play than Gordo.

Pick 2 of Marlon Mack, David Montgomery, Devante Parker. I think I am leaning towards first two.
RB2 question for me
mfsd : 9/12/2020 9:23 am : link
1/2 PPR league. Need to start one of Fournette, Devin Singletary, or Tarik Cohen

Leaning to Singletary vs NYJ vs Fournette vs NO. Anyone disagree?
no way I start Kerryon over Gordon
YAJ2112 : 9/12/2020 9:24 am : link
Gordon at worst is in a 50/50 split with Lindsay. Kerryon at best gets 50% of the touches, and is splitting them with 2 other guys.

I'd probably go Fournette. Arians said he'll have a big role. I could be wrong but it seems like Moss is the guy in Buffalo.

Thanks. Yup sounds like Singletary is a little out of favor in Buffalo due to fumbling and blitz pickup issues

Moss vs jets or hunt vs ravens?

I could also start both and replace keenan allen or Odell..

PPR
I am in a hole off the bat. I LOVE my team
robbieballs2003 : 9/12/2020 9:38 am : link
but I like playing vets week 1 where you have some idea of what to expect. I play in a deep league where we start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and a FL. It's a full PPR, 12 team league. Evans is doubtful tomorrow. So I need to replace him. I have a bunch with upside but there is so much uncertainty.

QB: Wilson
RB: Ekeler
RB: Hunt
RB: Gibson
WR: Adams
WR: Evans
WR: Slayton
TE: Engram
K: Gano
D: Buffalo

BN: Montgomery
BN: Dobbins
BN: Deebo
BN: Jefferson
BN: Claypool
BN: Shenault

So, my next WR in would be Deebo but he is recovering from the foot injury. That basically leaves me with 3 rookies.

Jefferson has been getting rave reviews but still may be the number 3 WR until proven otherwise.

Claypool has been getting a ton of hype and may play early. Against our secondary he could have a decent game in his first NFL game. But he plays Monday night and I'd like to get a report that he is in the top 3 which most likely nor happen.

Then you have Shenault in Jax. Does he get some touches in the backfield with Armstead and Ozigbo on IR? Where is he in the pecking order after Chark? I expect Jax to throw a lot this year. There have been lofty comparisons about him as well.

Like I said, I like all my guys but with the uncertainty with rookies it is tough. I don't expect anybody to have legit reasons for choosing 1 over another other than feelings. I don't think I can wait until Monday night. So, to me, it would be between Jefferson and Shenault. At that point I'll watch the pregame shows and read any articles to get hints on how these players will be used.

I'd go Hunt. When he came back he was scoring double digit points. They just signed him to a decent extension. They've been using him as their 3 WR in some cases. He has trained with both the RBs and WRs.

Moss could be really good but early in the season, for the most part, I like proven players more until we start to see how these rookies will be used.

Id go Jefferson, biggest upside in my opinion and i do think they get him involved to keep pressure off of thielen..

As a flex i think biggest upside is key and i think he will still get you 10 points
I could use some lineup advice
beatrixkiddo : 9/12/2020 10:01 am : link
12 team PPR:

Current starters are:
QB: Jones
WR: Jones & Parker
RB: Jones & sanders
TE: Fant
Flex: Mack
K: Need to get one!
Def: KC

Bench:

Stafford, Taylor, Green, Slayton, Gisecki, Reagor

Need to drop a player for a kicker, leaning Slayton honestly as Reagor is playing. He is listed as their PR as well, and I see him becoming the go to WR on that team fast. Think Slayton has a great year too, but Reagor has a clearer oath to more targets IMO. What are your thoughts should I drop someone else?
No way would I drop Slayton.

Why would you not drop Gisecki? You can’t drop Stafford because there is no way you can start Jones this week. And no way you should drop Slayton

Fournette, Arians says hr will have a big roll but there is no guarantee..

Just added DeSean Jackson - he went undrafted in my 10-team PPR league. I dropped Chris Thompson for him. I was carrying 6 RB's and with Landry's snap count up in the air this weekend, I don't think I can start him. Even with Reagor slated to play, I feel like Jackson is probably worth flexing this week.

That said, I do have other options.

I can also flex Tarik Cohen. I have Preston Williams, but I don't think he's 100% yet so I'm not going to use him until I see that he is.

Probably going to bench Landry, go with Ruggs @ WR3 and flex Jackson.

My TE's are uninspiring.. Noah Fant and Jonnu Smith - I've gone back and forth on them a bit but I think Fant is probably the right play. Anyone like Smith more this week?

Also, would anyone drop Smith (or Fant) for Dallas Goedert, Ian Thomas or Eric Ebron? I feel like at least one of Fant/Smith is going to have a pretty good year and I have a tendency to overthink and make too many roster moves / drop guys way too soon - but I also can add any of these other guys for nothing right now and might not still be able to after tomorrow.

Mike from SI : 9/12/2020 11:33 am : link
I have to choose between starting Allen Lazard and Jalen Reagor. (This is a 14-team auction league, so you have to start marginal guys.)

In case it affects the analysis, I wound up with both Wentz and Miles Sanders. Part of me thinks just play Reagor and rack up all the points against Washington, but Lazard is the #2 and has a defined role, and I'd be putting all my eggs in one basket with Philly.

Engram and I would take a chance on Lamb. Gronk has been rumored to be a player they will limit his snaps right away. Engram is healthy.
What's everyones take on Jonathan Taylor? I absolutely loved him
Zeke's Alibi : 9/12/2020 11:41 am : link
and paid a premium because I think by end of season he could look to be a league winner. My concern is early in the year and if Mack stays healthy. What is that timeshare going to look like? They recently put out that Taylor was drafted to keep Mack fresh for 4th quarter which I find odd and I'm a huge Mack fan. He is what he is though, a pretty good injury prone 2 down RB. I actually stumbled into Mack late as well and am starting both them this week due to matchup. I think I put myself in a pickle with my RB situation early in the year. Mixon, Taylor, Hunt, Mack, and McFarland. I essentially have an RB1 and 3 RB3's.

Gisecki is likely the #2/3 option in that offense which will pass the ball a ton. They are using him as a slot receiver, think he has sneaky upside in PPR. I like Fant but not sure if he will be a weekly play or not yet, Sutton is likely out so I am starting him this week. I know I already have Parker, but think Gisecki holds more value at the moment than someone like one of my 4th WR’s or Stafford. I actually rather play Jones with a healthy offense than Stafford with no RB and no #1 WR. Both are playing excellent defenses.

But something tells me you might regret that lol. Call it a gut feeling.

Nothing wrong with that team especially with how well David Johnson ran the ball on TNF.
First time in 28 years not playing fantasy football
Bramton1 : 9/12/2020 7:09 pm : link
For more than 20 years, I ran my own league. Then a good friend started a league and I did both. A few years ago, I decided I was tried to having to replace 2-3 owners a year, so I ended my league and just did my friend's league.

Two months, my friend lost a 5 year battle with brain cancer. His son took over control of the league last year when he started getting bad. But this year, I guess nobody was interested in doing the league this year. And I had no interest in a public league. A friend told me a few days ago to check with him next year if I was interested.

It's gonna be weird not doing fantasy. At least I won't have to deal with the uncomfortable moments when the Giants are playing against one of your players.

Miles Sanders isn't going to Washington, and Cortland Sutton is 50/50 to play on Monday night. Yippee.

So to fill Sanders' Flex position, I am starting Anthony Miller @ Detroit. Who from the following would you start in place of Sutton:

Preston Williams @ NE
Darius Slayton v. Pittsburgh

Presently, I am starting Williams. NE is a really good D against WRs, but I feel he still gives me a better chance at production than Slayton. What do you think?

Thank you
