Titans’ first-round pick Isaiah Wilson was arrested Friday night for a DUI, as @BuckReising reported.

Titans: “We are aware of the situation. This is not conduct that is indicative of the character of our football team and we are working through details on how to proceed.”
rough start for him
CMicks3110 : 9/12/2020 9:53 am : link
he began training camp on Reserve/COVID, received a trespass warning while attending a party at Tennessee State in August, was recently placed on Reserve/COVID again and then was arrested last night for DUI.
I’d make a “they should have seen this coming” joke
UConn4523 : 9/12/2020 9:57 am : link
but they are too easy at this point.
Eh

“He’s just a 21 year old that did something stupid. We all did when we were that age. You’re a hypocrite if you say anything negative about this!”

Isn’t that the bullshit that some posters on here were spewing a couple weeks ago when he got busted breaking protocol attending that party? Completely ignoring the fact that he put his entire team, coaching staff and their families at risk while making his innocent 21 year old decision. I can’t wait to see him get defended once again here. He’s just a young kid! Leave him alone!
Isn't this the same clown who went to a college Covid party
ZogZerg : 9/12/2020 10:10 am : link
and then was going to jump out the Window when the cops showed up?

He made a bunch of bad decisions and I see he keeps making them.
Wasn’t he the bookend OT to Andrew Thomas? If he had hung around to
Ivan15 : 9/12/2020 10:21 am : link
The start of the second round, he might have been the Giants pick if McKinney wasn’t available.

Are we seeing a trend of bad decisions by former UGA athletes? I sure hope not.

He's a Brooklyn kid who went to Poly Prep. Disappointing start to his career - sounds more like boneheaded teenager moves rather than DeAndre Baker stupid. Hoping he gets his shit together as I'm always rooting for the local kids.
A DUI is more than a bone headed move

Sucks for them

You can take the kid out of Brooklyn...
Good thing I am not a scout

I wanted to bypass OL at #4 and look at Wilson in Round 2 or possibly trading up into Round 1 if more OL went off the board than expected.
Before we judge

Remember our own Kareem McKenzie had a DUI. He turned out alright.

Did he also risk spreading Covid to the Entire team?

Wilson seems like a really immature and irresponsible person.
Sounds like a piece of work

2 times "out of the bubble" and into Covid protocol.
Now A DUI

Come on, he's just a kid! </sarcasm>
Also, cut him some slack on the DUI...
sb from NYT Forum : 9/12/2020 12:37 pm : link
...he was drunk and didn't know what he was doing.
I wanted him in the second and was hoping he would fall

But what the hell do I know. I don’t do background checks.

Everybody who attended a church service, a birthday party, went over to a friend's house, or participated in a political protest did much the same thing as Wilson.

Not defending his behavior but let's be honest that 90% of America has violated social distancing requirements for no reason other than their own enjoyment.

first time I've noticed his handle on threads. Sounds like he may have followed Wilson's football career. I kind of remember the name at draft time and Sy' (almost) certainly wrote him up.

This seems *more* serious than the wrong place at the wrong time (Baker) but *less* serious than the foreseeable consequences that Baker was inviting.
And this is why I was pleased to hear so many good reports
BlueLou'sBack : 9/12/2020 3:27 pm : link
about Andrew Thomas's mind, head, and character in addition to his obvious football athletic skills.

What's in between the ears and inside the heart are just as important as agile feet at heavy hands.

Every kid drafted has physical ability. Look at Tae Crowder, Mr. Irrelevant.
The really disturbing part
Reale01 : 9/12/2020 7:28 pm : link
He just had an incident. He should be on his BEST behavior. Really shows a DGAS lack of respect for his team and teammates.
He is lucky he didn’t get drafted by the Giants
rasbutant : 9/12/2020 8:27 pm : link
He would be front page news for at least a week. I’m sure this will blow over in a day in Tenn. how he didn’t get more attention after the whole party thing????

90%? Am I really that rare?
So far as I can figure during this past 6 moths,
BlueLou'sBack : 9/13/2020 3:28 am : link
taking the 6' number literally and excluding 60-somethings as a scardy cat group re Covid-19 for obvious reasons, yes you are!

He's either a bad guy/a bust or just a kid. Judgment is proclaimed.

How about...none of us really know? All we know is what happened and how it is likely a very poor sign. Could it be lack of maturity? Yes. Could it be poor character? Yes. Could it be poor judgment? Yes.

Not all 21 year olds need to be reminded that drinking and driving are wrong. But some need harsher lessons and do straighten out. Some don't.

Not all people need reminders of how they should be responsible during corona, especially as a member of a team/company whose health depends on ALL being responsible. And then so many do, adults, kids, elderly, men, women.

So what do we have? Data. We have data. He is trending poorly. He is not someone whose stock would be very high were the 1st round today. But he isn't necessarily a candidate for the electric chair yet. At least, not with the data we as fans possess.
He's no Kyle Lauletta, much less a DeAndre Baker
Marty in Albany : 9/13/2020 12:08 pm : link
We still lead the NFL in stupid players.

Not sure that is true Marty, unless you feel Dallas is just professional grade vs the amateurs....
