Week 1 of football seen some strange outcomes and performances. Number of upsets and number of stinkers by some premier players. How have you guys fare thus far?

With only two games remaining, I'm almost certain to go 3-1 in my leagues and will score the most in one league and third most in another. Both teams were led by R.Wilson and D.Adams. I did end up losing M.Mack and my investment in B.Scott didn't return anything of note. My opponents do have J.Connor still left to play against me in two leagues (both .5PPR), but I'm leading by more than 30 points in both leagues, so I should be ok unless the Giants defense implodes.

I did place claims for N.Hines in all four of my leagues (putting down $20 (out of $100) bids in two leagues...I know it's high, but I'm assuming he and J.Taylor will be paired throughout the season) and claims for M.Brown in two leagues where he is still available. Hopefully, I can pair Hines with Taylor in my two leagues now that Mack is done for the season.

Anyone of note you're targeting?
I'm in all 3 of my matches

should definitely win 1, the others are more of a toss up. Some real stinker performances from Kupp and Ertz (despite the TD he did nothing else) have me nervous for tonight - up 11.5 with Barkley against JuJu and Shepard.
I also loved seeing what Rodgers did yesterday
UConn4523 : 9/14/2020 9:14 am : link
to one of the better defenses in the league. One, I like him but two, I got him so late in 2 leagues.

Murray to Hopkins is going to be a force. That long TD called down at the 1 really hurt (i'd be up 17.5 instead right now). But really liking how much Hopkins was thrown to.
I only do one league

Certainly lost this week, quite a few injuries I couldn’t do much about. Mack likely done for the year (which is actually a good thing as I also have Taylor), Parker aggravates his hammy. Also was missing Sanders this week.

I am likely in need of some WR help moving forward. I have Jones, Parker, Green, Slayton and Reagor. Stashed Aiyuk on IR. Contemplating if it’s worth it to pick up someone like Williams if Parker will be our for a bit, or just fly with what I got.

RB, I have Jones, Sanders Taylor now. Might be wise to burn my #3 waiver and get someone like Brown or Robinson on the Jags. How would you guys rank pickups this week? PPR

league, the other comes down to Barkley and AJ Brown for me vs Melvin Gordon for my opponent.

I'm currently down 5.5 points.

Losing Miles Sanders in both leagues hurt as did Cooper Kupp laying an egg in the one I'm currently losing.
going to go 0-3
terz22 : 9/14/2020 9:28 am : link
and lost in my survivor pool already. Not a good week for me. Hopefully Giants can cure my ills but doubtful.
As for FA's
pjcas18 : 9/14/2020 9:29 am : link
I own J. Taylor and traded Robinson for Engram before the games this weekend.

Hines is rostered as are almost every rookie RB.

Also owned already are Shenault, etc.

So, not much for us yet.
My 1 league i had a bunch of no shows
nygiants16 : 9/14/2020 9:32 am : link
my other i was down 50 going into 4pm, but i had Murray and Hopkins, down 11 but i still have Barkley and AJ Brown and they are done..

My receivers are going to be deadly julio, hopkins and Brown along with andrews at tight end

Need to find a 2nd rb next to Barkley
plenty of RB's
UConn4523 : 9/14/2020 9:34 am : link
to be had after this week depending on your league roster sizes. I wouldn't fret on the RB2 - there will be plenty of guys in the coming weeks that will be able to get you 7-10 points per week.

I dropped Shenault for J.Robinson, who I didn't play this weekend. I'm thinking about getting him back after the waiver period if he's available. With Chark, Robinson, and Armstead (on IR), I never thought I would have so many Jags player on my roster after it was slated to totally tank this season. Strange season.
One of my opponents had...
RC in MD : 9/14/2020 9:50 am : link
M.Thomas, G.Kittle, and M.Evans going into the late game with me being up by 30 points in a .5PPR with only H.Henry and C.Akers left to play. I was definitely still nervous that he could pull it off with those three players, but man, did they all have stinkers for him. So I won by 33 points in that matchup.

Yeah i am not to worried about it, i have zach moss on my bench, im hoping that 12 points yesterday can be consistent
Moss is my RB2, haha
UConn4523 : 9/14/2020 9:54 am : link
I didn't start Dobbins like I was going to but I'll be swapping him in this week most likely. I don't expect 3 TD's between those 2 or anything, but if they can get me a combined 20 points I'm happy.
I’m feeling really good about my BBI keeper team
djm : 9/14/2020 9:57 am : link
High score for the week looks likely but not official yet and I still need to hold off the steelers dst but they likely aren’t scoring 50 tonight.

Russel Wilson
Adams
Hopkins
Lockett
Ekeler (looked good but quiet stat game)
Mark Andrews

Goedert on the bench and this league has increased TE scoring. Feeling good. Long season though, and my depth is so so. Need to see guys like miles sanders and slayton emerge as legit options.

I started Bell, but of course i should of known better
Up by 14 going into Monday night
US1 Giants : 9/14/2020 10:00 am : link
my James Conner vs his Broncos D/ST and Boswell PK. Should win unless the Giants defense is great tonight. Go Giants!

Lost Mack which leaves me with little or no depth at RB.

Josh Jacobs, Mark Andrews, and the Saints defense saved my week.
Up by 22 with Saquon yet to play for me..
TheEvilLurker : 9/14/2020 10:02 am : link
I also have Pittsburgh s kicker, while my opponent has Smith-Schuster. I expect to win.
Week 1 was kind

Depends on your scoring. If it isn't PPR then you definitely need a TD. If it is PPR then 5/6 catches for moderate yards will get it done.
im 50/50 to win tonight
Eric on Li : 9/14/2020 10:42 am : link
got unlucky facing Hines and having to bench Sutton, but still have a chance. I have Barkley plus a 13 point lead, he has Henry, Engram, Slayton. Should be close either way but if the Giants offense goes off and they win I won't care about a week 1 FF loss.

He should get it if he doesn't get hurt in the game.
Team shit the bed yesterday, but on a macro level not sure.
Zeke's Alibi : 9/14/2020 11:09 am : link
I was a big believer in Jonathan Taylor and his ability to be an rb1 by end of season, similar to a Nick Chubb. Drafted Mack as an insurance policy and thought there would be games (like yesterday) that I could start both. Might have been game flow, but Hines had a much bigger role than I thought he would in the 1h. Well Mack goes down for season and which I hate to admit, is great for me, but that was baked into this plan because guy just can't stay healthy. I'm set up tremendous there, especially because they purposely throw to Taylor a lot to get him the ball in space.

Is Drew Brees done? I have Michael Thomas and him getting hurt and watching Brees yesterday worries the hell out of me. The Bucs sencondary is brutal and should have been easy pickings for that 30 yard box the Saints passing game works in.

Joe Mixon seems destined to another dud of a fantasy year. Should have had a better game yesterday considering opponent, but the Bengals line still seems like trash.

Here's to Daniel Jones throwing 2 TD passes tonight and giving me faith he throws 35 TDS this year.
Chubb will be fine
UConn4523 : 9/14/2020 11:14 am : link
that game was over before halftime, and that defense just owned them.

Hard to say with Thomas/Brees. I didn't watch all of the game but it seemed like the gameplan was similar to the Rams lastnight - run and short throws to try and control clock. If Thomas doesn't have a much better game next week against a crappy Raiders defense then I'd start getting a little worried.
Down 21
Eli Wilson : 9/14/2020 11:22 am : link
I have Saquon (PPR), he has no one. I think I have a slightly better than 50/50 chance.
Mack officially done for the year
beatrixkiddo : 9/14/2020 11:25 am : link
Colts placed him on IR with a torn Achilles.

Hope Taylor blows up I need him. Placing a waiver on Robinson but likely will be nabbed by one of the the two players ahead of me on claims.

Did you have all 3 Colts' RBs? I had both Taylor and Mack starting yesterday, so it didn't end well for me, especially since my other RB (FLEX) was Akers. Thankfully, R.Wilson, D.Adams, and J.Jones won me the game and potentially the high scorer of the week (a $10 payout each with).

Now I've got a big bid in for Hines on waiver wire.

Hmmm...I wonder if I can take advantage of that and see if I can trade for M.Thomas with a combination of some good players. I did that when I traded away D.Chark and D.Montgomery for D.Hopkins and I.Smith (a throwaway RB) in the front end of the season when Chark was on fire and Hopkins wasn't doing shit. I wonder if I can pull off similar move.
Just lost Marlon Mack for the year

Which of these waiver wire guys would you put in a claim for?:

Nyheim Hines (IND)
Peyton Barber (WFT)
Joshua Kelley (LAC)

Half ppr. Projected 9.4 i need 11.8.
Only waiver wire move I'm planning to make is grabbing Hines
Zeke's Alibi : 9/14/2020 11:34 am : link
Not sure if it was game flow or what, but he had much bigger role than I thought. But maybe it was just the fact he made the most of his opportunity with all the TDS. Not sure if I want him because I already have Kareem Hunt in that type of spot on my fantasy team. Going to try to get him to protect myself from Taylor going down, but not sure if I want to attempt to use my high waiver attempt on that. I watched some of that game because I bet on Colts, but I read this article yesterday that makes me ecstatic about Taylor in half point PPR. They are actively running plays to target him in passing game.

That was the gameplan, but that is going to be the game plan a lot this year. The Saints offense runs in this 30yrd box. Put Brees on a team without Thomas (and that supporting cast) and I'm not sure he hasn't retired already. He catches everything in that intermediate range with guys draped all over him. That box gets smaller every year though and at some point it's just not going to pass muster on NFL level.
Drafted
BigBluesman : 9/14/2020 1:33 pm : link
Jonathan Taylor. Looking at dropping Kerryon Johnson (took AP a few days to beat him out) for Hines with the Mack injury so I can monopolize Indy RBs. On the other hand, I already have both D. Cook and A. Mattison. How many complete RB committees do I need? I'm wondering if there's a better use for the spot or not.

I think it may make more sense for you to get Hines than most. All going to put up numbers with only potential for more if someone gets hurt. Rare spot to be in. You can focus on other positions with all your attention on waiver wire matchup plays.

Yeah, I put in the claim. It's either Hines, or Malcolm Brown or Josh Kelley, or stand pat. Probably worth going for Hines.

Thanks for advice!
Disaster
allstarjim : 9/14/2020 3:05 pm : link
I am staring 0-4 in the face, despite in one league I will score the 2nd most points in the league, and lose to a team that just went bananas. I mean, our league has been around about 2 decades, and when he's done tonight he'll have scored the 2nd most points of any team in our league since 2015. That's my luck.

Even my unbeatable team needs a historic night from Saquon to eek out a win. Not a good week of fantasy.

So I need some advice/help.

Right now I have Ertz at TE with Jared Cook as my backup.

Goedert is available. I'm thinking yesterday is going to be more of the norm than an outlier between him and Wentz. So what do I do? I can't reasonably drop Ertz. But if I drop Cook, who also had a pretty good game and I like him in that offense, then I will have two Eagles' TEs which is not ideal, and will create bye week issues.

Do nothing?
