NFT: Watching game on outdoor screen

GMEN46 : 9/14/2020 2:36 pm
Hey everyone, I am looking for some advice for tonight’s game. I tried watching football on my outside projector by connecting an iPhone hdmi converter from my phone to the projector by then I got this error message from fios tv app:

Air play and Hdmi is not supported while streaming live tv from the cloud or on demand content. However there are supported while streaming live tv from the cloud or on demand content.

I ended up buying my laptop outside and connected fine with nfl.com stream and the tv. However tonight since it is espn, I am assuming I will have to download ESPN app and pay the $5.99 or is there a way around this using Fios tv? Will the game be in another fios channel locally that will let me connect?

I know the other option is to buy a long Hdmi and connect to my tv inside but I was hoping to avoid rhat. Any recommendations on how to beat do this would be appreciated. Thanks
I don't think you need ESPN+

you go to the espn website and sign in via your fios account and you're good to go
Yep, you should be able to login into espn

using your Fios Account. I'm going to be outside doing a faux tailgate (failgate?) as well. Planning on using my roku to stream from espn.

If you have the new Verizon FiOS boxes you can connect your box through Wi-Fi (don't need a coax cable). All you would need is HDMI Cable and Power Cord for the box).
I don't have advice

on my projector 2x in last 2 weeks. first time was using the iphone and wifi and it didnt go well. 2nd time I ran coax and hooked fios box hdmi to the projector and it worked perfectly. I dont have an expensive projector so I hooked up my soundbar to the box as well for better sound. if you run the box to your projector and use the projector for sound, you might not get any sound. you then have to go into the fios secret menu by hitting power and ok 2x quickly. it will show a white diagnostics screen that you press back 1x then go to additional hdmi settings and under that change audio to l-pcm and make sure you hit ok for it to save the change and then exit

If I use hdmi, I go projector one side and do I plug other side into cable box or does it go into the Hdmi 2 on the tv? I’m trying to think about how that will work
