30 - 13. Their defensive front overwhelms our inexperienced OL, and except for a few plays, bottles up Barkley. Jones has little time to throw. On offense, they exploit our equally inexperienced secondary, where wide open WRs result from missed communications. We get to Ben a few times, but need to blitz to do so, and it's not enough.

I can't remember last time I was this pumped for an opener. The fact that I always figured we were going to lose and to Cowboys on top of that always soured on my outlooks on opening night. With how the cards fell yesterday Giants are playing with house money, and they know it too. These guys all watched these games yesterday too. Shock the world tonight.

Steeler's D is very good; and even allowing for Big Ben being rusty it still seems to me that NYG can't rush the passer and can't cover. So Pitt will be able to score, and NYG won't be able to keep up.
On the bright side, I think Barkley and Jones will play well, and that we'll have pretty good success stopping the run. Maybe even some good special teams play. But it won't be nearly enough to win this one.
