0 backup ILB appears somewhat curious. Especially given the Connelly cut. They are 1 turned ankle from I suppose playing Fackrell or Carter inside? Or maybe they have some of those snaps carved out for Peppers?
Colbert, Yiadom, Chandler, Williams all being active is a bit of a surprise. I'd imagine they will mostly play on ST, but I wouldn't totally rule out more than 1 of those guys having a bigger role on defense than we expect. Both NE + MIA played 10-12 DB's regularly on defense last year. At times Graham played 6 differed safeties in a single game. Bradberry, Love, Peppers, Ryan, Holmes, Balentine are almost definitely the first 6 up. Will be interesting to see who #7, 8, 9 are.
Carter Coughlin stands out as an unexpected active given the excess of edge type LB's (Carter, Ximines, Golden, Fackrell). Maybe they view him as an option at ILB? Or maybe he just stood out the most on ST?
OL, WR, RB, DL, TE all seem pretty much as expected given the Tate injury. Peart over Barton is a positive but he's also had more time in camp and in the system.

Carter Coughlin warming up with the ILBs (Blake Martinez and Devante Downs). Think it’s more likely that the Giants use Peppers as a hybrid LB than they play Coughlin at ILB tonight if needed
So I guess that's an answer. I wonder if they like him as a blitzer from the inside of the formation.

When he was drafted I thought that Coughlin might be moved inside at the next level. His scouting report suggests he would be a solid fit there plus his pass rush ability would come in handy on blitzes up the middle.
It is a nice sign but it's possible that Barton just hasn't picked up the entire offense just yet.
I expect Peart to be the primary swing tackle this season anyway. He received snaps at LT with the starters in practice which is an encouraging sign. Judge isn't going to just hand a player snaps unless they earned it.
Am I missing someone?
Am I missing someone?
A lot of 2 tight end sets with Engram in the slot

I wonder if Dion Lewis is lined up out wide as a 3rd WR - he has good hands or Lewis or Gallman in the backfield and Barkley out wide.
Will need to get creative.

Yup, notable. Good for Peart
Why even try at your job.
