As you get older. I could handle the 1970s as a young kid, but I just cannot stand the thought of another year of poor play while we wait for Gettleman’s latest plan to pan out. I actually like these coaches and these players but watching this garbage is just a reminder of what a pathetic team this has become and how far it is from being competitive with good teams.

2. OL looks solid in pass pro when you cnsider who we played and its their first week together
3. jones looked solid and made a bunch of plays
4. defense looks pretty good vs run, i think secondary(ballentine) needs some work but overall, i think the defense looked good early
5. i didnt see any bone head play calls (saw a ton with shurm and mcadoo)

We gave the game away. We beat ourselves. No mortal victories because it was "close."
We've got to get our run game going, but I'm not sure we got a great snapshot tonight against THIS defense.
Hard to tell still just how good or bad we are there, because the Steelers D is so good.
But saying that Jones sucks, or Barkley sucks, or taking out your drunken emotion on Gettleman... Give this season a chance to breathe.

Impressed with his play today. He’s a huge upgrade. Unfortunately our secondary is still suspect at best.
