If this was any old opening game, I would agree with you. But, we are coming of 2 completely dismal seasons and more than 5 years of mostly bad football. There was a little to be positive about, but do you honestly not feel similar to the multitude of losses we've experienced over that span? Does this truly not feel like the same old crap already?
Now, I like what I have seen and hear from Judge and truly believe he will turn this franchise around. But, right now, this still looked and felt like a bad football team.

-Carter has improved. Slowed late but made an impact
-DL is legit
-Thomas played well. Big deal for a rookie LT
-Pass pro has improved
-Much more physical
-Virtually no breakdowns in coverage. They were good for 4 or 5 a week last year
-Came out hot in the second half, didnt lie down. Got the stop and marched on a huge drive.
-Didnt lie down late down 2 scores
This is not the same team. Long way to go but theyre gonna surprise some people. Said it on another thread and Ill say it all week: this team beats Chicago by 10 points.
Unlike KC, there isn’t an OL capable of Working together by week 8.
That being said, all but the Giants-front four on D, were abysmal. Judge,Staff, & Players are new to scheme and it was evident within the calls.
Barkley was Ill used tonight, as was EE, and Gallman.
The Giants made fundamental mistakes on D, and they missed Jenkins. All in all, we will be lucky to go two games over 500. Call me delusional, but the D, team played at a much faster pace, and Carter, had an above average game. The push from the front three was above average, but far too many substitutes are needed, in order for us to compete.
