He is not solely a deep threat. He makes awesome breaks and creates separation and is a student of the game. At Auburn, he was the vertical threat because of his speed in a system which was not suited to him. I have listened to his interviews and clashes assessments. They all rave about his learning the system and being a student of the game. They rave about him and ironically no one mentions his speed. They love him. I don’t see him as as a true X1 but see him as the new breed as an X2. A super speed Anaqoun Boldin.

He is the best we have .. # 88 cannot block and # 26 has not gotten better in that dept. either.
Glad we kept the other TE's for depth. Like them both.
Slayton to me just looks like the classic NFL WR who can run all the routes. Looks like a great pick by DG.
