What people don’t understand Re Slayton

NJBlueTuna : 9/14/2020 10:19 pm
He is not solely a deep threat. He makes awesome breaks and creates separation and is a student of the game. At Auburn, he was the vertical threat because of his speed in a system which was not suited to him. I have listened to his interviews and clashes assessments. They all rave about his learning the system and being a student of the game. They rave about him and ironically no one mentions his speed. They love him. I don’t see him as as a true X1 but see him as the new breed as an X2. A super speed Anaqoun Boldin.

Wish we had more players like him.
I think most of us do understand that.

OP said until you made a comparison to Boldin. Completely different player. Never got separation, durable as hell and tough as nails. About as different a receiver from Slayton as you can get. Like Slayton Alot but compare him to Boldin? Nope.

and Boldin .... but like him too. Also drafted in my family's FFL.

He is the best we have .. # 88 cannot block and # 26 has not gotten better in that dept. either.

Glad we kept the other TE's for depth. Like them both.
Bolden was a really unique WR...

.....could go deep but also mix it up inside almost like a hybrid TE. VERY physical. Dished out punishment at times to DB's. He was the hitter.

Slayton to me just looks like the classic NFL WR who can run all the routes. Looks like a great pick by DG.
