NFL permanently instituted a "cross-flex" policy in 2014 allowing Fox games to be moved to CBS and CBS games moved to Fox to protect each local market; this effectively guarantees each Fox and CBS affiliate in a team's primary market to carry at least one game from the team during the season.
so used to NFC being Fox and CBS being AFC. In the Dolphins market, so they always take precedent. It used to be fine when it was AFC on CBS. Maybe 1 or 2 conflicts a year, as the Giants are the default NFC team.
In response to does it matter. I live in western ny and the Giants games are usually broadcasted on tv unless they interfer with bills games. This usually isnt a problem because the Giants are on Fox and the bills are on cbs. But since the giants are on cbs this week the game will not air on broadcast tv and i dont have nfl network.
Here’s to hoping for a W this week!
