NFT: Getting into Manhattan (FDR Drive) via Third Avenue Bridge

I am embarrassed to ask this question since I was born and raised in the NY Metro area, but have never done this route before.

I'm travelling south on the Major Deegan and get off at Exit 3 ending up on East 135th Street in the Bronx.

Can I take a right turn from 135th directly onto the Third Avenue Bridge?

Or, is this a stupid way to get to the FDR from the Major Deegan?

Any thoughts/advice much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If for some reason not, go another block to Lincoln Ave, right to Bruckner Blvd, right again and onto the bridge from there.

You can go to triboro and just turn off to Manhatten

the ramp will bring you to a red light and a McDonald's on your right. Turn right, then go straight and stay to the right. You'll cross the bridge and look for the sign for the FDR on the right.

but hate the pot holes, trucks backing out of lots, and general claustrophobia of being at ground level. I prefer to continue to Triboro/RFK bridge and loop onto the FDR.
