I have a couple lineup decisions, any opinions?
Non-PPR need a WR2 and Flex out of:
Cooper Kupp @PHI
Emmanuel Sanders @LV
AJ Brown (Q) vs JAX
Ro-Jo vs CAR
Snell vs DEN
Right now I have Kupp and Sanders, but Yahoo projections (which I rarely go by, but I obviously see them) have RoJo the highest followed by Brown. Kupp and Sanders the two lowest of the top 4 - Snell the lowest overall.
I can't bench my best players after 1 week, so I'm starting Kupp in a good matchup. For the other FLEX I'd say roll with Snell when Conner is officially declared out.
I'm going Tannehill. I feel like he has the higher floor and similar ceiling due to potential rushing stats and going against a bad defense.
Flex - James Conner (PIT RB @ DEN), D'Andre Swift (@ GB), Peyton Barber (@ ARI), DeVante Parker (vs. BUF)
My starting RB are Ronald Jones and David Montgomery thanks to injuries. I could also drop Curtis Samuel if needed because there are a few names available in FA like Laviska Shenault Jr. (@ TEN) or Jalen Reagor (vs. LAR) or Frank Gore (vs. SF)
if Conner is out I think my next pick would be Snell since it's not PPR. I'd imagine he has the best shot of scoring a TD if he's the starting RB for Pitt.
None of the other 3 are bad plays and there's reason to believe any of them could have a good week just harder to forecast. Brown has the injury, Sanders is in a new offense now without Thomas which could be a good thing but we don't know, and the Bucs are likely without Godwin and have Evans banged up too. Jones should get volume but he got volume week 1 and didn't do much with it.
So I think I lean hot hand with Snell as long as Conner is out and his workload is guaranteed.

These are all tough. I think I go Jones over Burrow since he's got at least a little bit of a track record and just put up very decent numbers vs. Pitt. Vegas has their expected point totals and over/unders for the game almost identical (both are also similar underdogs). I'd make that call based on whether I'd rather be starting Jones while watching the NYG game or not as a fan.
For the flex I'd go with Parker if he plays but it's risky. Don't think you can trust Conner. Second choice would probably be Swift since he got so much work in the passing game and if you want to look at a silver lining he was on the field at the end of the game and almost caught his 2nd receiving TD. Against GB that could be a big passing game for Detroit.
I think I'd also cut Samuel for either Shenault or Reagor. I think both are similar level talents, Shenault has already seen a slightly bigger role and has no injury question, Reagor has perhaps the bigger opportunity for targets. Both seem to have more upside than Samuel though who seems like he will firmly be the 4th option in Carolina.
and the flex I agree with Eric.
and the flex I agree with Eric.
Thanks. Swift it is unless I see more on Parker's health prior. As far as Superflex I am going to flip a coin. I think I will play it by ear regarding Samuel's spot as Shenault has the same bye week as my K so I think I may just use that spot or Barber's as the swing spot to replace TE, K, and D/ST when they have bye weeks.
Need 2 WR's and a Flex out of:
WR's
Moore @ TB
McLaurin @ ARI
K. Allen vs KC
Fuller vs BAL
Boyd @ CLE
Slayton @ CHI
RB's
Taylor vs MIN
Moss @ MIA
Right now I have:
Moore and McLaurin at WR with Taylor at flex
I have both guys - and it's probably not wise to start both.
I probably will use one of them, though. Landry's health is the only reason I'd be cautious. But I also kind of think Hunt is going to have a good night and that CLE will lean on the RB's a lot.
Also hate that it's TNF - especially the first one.

I don't like McLaurin against Arizona. They can't stop TE so I expect Logan Thomas to be more of the target. Maybe I am a homer, but I do like Slayton or possibly Fuller since Houston will likely be playing from behind.

Who are your other options? Hunt I'd have no issue starting (hopefully as a RB2 or Flex)
Also, this is the second TNF, right?
What say you? It's a .5 PPR league.
What say you? It's a .5 PPR league.
Green over his last 10 games played has averaged 5 catches for 60 yards and .6 TD's.
I think Slayton has a better average than that and probably more upside - though against a better D.

Personally I believe Fuller is a must start every week. Obviously, Taylor has to be in your flex. So the next choice is what other WR to play, and you have several options, all have some level of downside but all are decent options, and if you had an inclination either way, I'd take it. My heart wants to say Slayton, but keep in mind that Golden Tate's status could impact Slayton's snap percentage (it shouldn't, but it could). My head says Keenan Allen is the safest play to put up numbers in a game that SD is going to be in a heavy pass game script, although I don't really trust Tyrod as a passer.
McLaurin would seem to be a good play but I'd be a little reticent to play him when he is likely to draw PatPete in coverage. I don't like Moore's matchup at all. You could justify any of these guys. If the weather is good in Chicago, and Tate is again ruled out, I'd feel good about Slayton.

If Green didn't get called for that OPI, his points total would have been much better last game, so we know that he still can play despite having a rookie QB. With that Browns D, he may be a good bet to get respectable total points (12+ points). Slayton is definitely higher ceiling guy at this point, but with Tate potentially coming back (and Engram possibly not sucking nearly as badly and potential rushing game working better), will some of his touches be taken?
I hate these Thursday games since they make you decide much earlier than you really want to. Ugh...I'll go with Green for this one.
Leviska Shenault
Parris Campbell
Jalen Raegor
Brandon Aiyuk
Justin Jefferson
Denzel Mims

Anyone starting Kareem Hunt or Landry tonight?

Well, technically 2nd - yeah - I didn't really consider the league opener a typical TNF game since it wasn't like the teams were coming off a short week the way they are this time.
RB Flex options... (Starting Carson/Hines @ RB1/2)
Kareem Hunt
James Robinson
Benny Snell
Tarik Cohen
WR flex options...
Landry
Shenault
Preston Williams
Leviska Shenault
Parris Campbell
Jalen Raegor
Brandon Aiyuk
Justin Jefferson
Denzel Mims
I like Campbell the most. His speed paired with a chucker like Rivers can lead to a bunch of big games. He officially becomes their #1 WR this year, IMO.

I think you have to play Snell if Conner's out. That said, I like Hunt 2nd best, and it's unfortunate you have to decide now. I'd still wait for Sunday, check Conner's status, and make your decision. If Conner plays, then James Robinson is the play, IMO.

Ugh, yeah that's the problem - I hate that I have to decide tonight. If I knew Conner would be out, Snell is obviously a must play - we just don't know yet.
What I think I am going to do is... start Landry @ WR3.
Leave the flex spot open so I can use Snell and if Conner does play, I can flex James Robinson or even Shenault.
I have D.Adams, so I have a dominant WR1, and I have D.Chark to take over as the WR2 while M.Thomas heals up. I'm wondering if it's worth it long term to try to acquire him and give away someone like J.Robinson, who is on my bench but would be his starter.
So a trade offer will look like this:
J.Jones and J.Robinson
for
M.Thomas and any of his RBs (although I wonder if I can take Bell off of his hands since he needs help right now)
I actually like Hunt tonight but I can't start two Browns and without Michael Thomas, my WR group probably needs Landry this week.
I have J.Taylor and Z.Moss as my RB1/2.
Also have C.Akers, M.Gaskin, C.Hyde, J.Kelley
It's .5 PPR.

I really have no choice, unless i go allen over Hunt or beckham in my flex and Brown in my number 2 rb spot...

True enough, UConn - it sure sounds like they're moving towards at least a split even if Conner is healthy. He seemed like he could have come back in against us on Monday - but Snell was running so well, they just rode him instead.

It could work out where you get chalk from both guys. But that's not a bad alternative and would probably raise your ceiling a bit.

Its certainly riskier for you because of all the split backfields. High risk high reward, IMO.

Yeah right now Brown is my flex..
Injust do not trust tyrod right now

Most definitely. I'm not really counting on my RBs to do much early in the season, that's why I'm accumulating potential at RBs. But J.Robinson is just sitting there on my bench since I like Z.Moss's chance better this weekend. So I can definitely take a bit of a chance. Although that opens up a vacancy in one of my two FLEX positions. One has D.Slayton, but second may have to be either M.Gaskin, L.Shenault, or C.Akers.
Always Stafford over Tanny. Always until clearly proven otherwise.
T. HILL @ LAC
Ridley @ DAL
Fuller vs. BAL
Slayton @ CHI
I also have Crowder who I wouldn't normally mention, but he had a nice line last week.

I don't agree at all. If no Golladay (which seems likely) Stafford's value takes a huge hit. Even with Golladay I think you can make an argument that you pick the one with the better matchup.
D Johnson vs BAL
Snell vs DEN
What do you think?
D Johnson vs BAL
Snell vs DEN
What do you think?
Snell if no Conner, Johnson otherwise. I need to see Fuller put up numbers consistently before plugging him in on a weekly basis (assuming you have other options which you do).

Slayton @ CHI

Hill & Ridley need to be in your lineup every week, regardless of matchup. This is really between Fuller and Slayton, and I think the target share that Fuller now has, the big play potential, and the offense he's in, he really has a chance to be a top 10 WR this year in fantasy. I know Slayton had a big game, but Fuller had double digit targets, 8 catches, over a hundred yards. I think Fuller is going to do that a lot more consistently than Slayton, who I do like. To me, it's Fuller (while he remains healthy).
OBJ vs. Bengals
W. Fuller vs. Baltimore
Hilton vs. Minnesota
The reason the Bengals are relevant is i'm currently starting Herndon vs. SF over Hooper vs. Bengals but i'm thinking if I do start OBJ I should start Hooper as I have a hunch Cleveland will put up some points tonight...
WTF?
WTF?
A number of lazy attempts to go after the ball plus lot of extra coverage and daring Boyd/TE to beat them.

and sometimes stat lines are misleading, but AJ green had 13 targets and went 3 for 29 yards.

Seems like he's got a fork in his back. (without seeing the game) - I'm sure being a 32 year old veteran with a rookie QB is not ideal. Maybe they trade him? Huge cap #, but in the last year of his deal, so if CIN retains money they could maybe move him.

Can’t tell if it is that or the repeated injuries taking a toll and/or business decisions so he doesn’t put next contract in jeopardy
K. Allen vs KC
K. Allen vs KC
I mistakenly sat Watkins at the last minute and while I'd be inclined to sit him this week for fear of a letdown, I don't know, seems different this time (or maybe that's just hope talking).
Keenan Allen with Tyrod Taylor is going to be rough this year, IMO. That said they are likely going to have to throw all game...
50/50 which doesn't help you, but I'd be going back and forth with it until game time.
The good was that I last minute decided to flex Kareem Hunt - which wound up being well worth it. Got 24-25 points out of him.
The bad, I left Landry in my lineup - and he was "meh."
It wasn't a total egg - about 8 points total - and my opponent has, and started AJ Green - so, Landry outscored him and I'm in fine shape matchup-wise.
Looks like both CLE RB's are very much startable on a weekly basis. Chubb should be on the RB1 radar most weeks and Hunt should be in the RB2/Flex area.
