but I was under the impression after last season ended, that they would be moving on from him, especially with Foles on the roster. I could be wrong.
I don’t think you are wrong. Mitch is on a very short leash and was uninspiring in game 1. Only a matter of time until they move on.
I would rather see Trubisky since he’s never demonstrated the ability to lead a team. Files is the opposite, even though he’s very inconsistent he has shown the highs that Mitch never has
didn't the Bears go after Newton? Foles? That's the end all be all guy that is going to push Trubisky?
If you're going to put your QB on notice, and they definitely should have, go out and get the best QB on the market or at least try. My god the Bears are clueless when it comes to QBs. I don't even love NEwton in Chicago but it's a shite side better than Nick Foles.

Cams no great shakes anymore either, except the Pats are using him the only way he's productive. Running the ball double digits a game. Guy isn't going to last very long, but makes no sense that Bears didn't go for it. They could run the same offense with two guys and run both into ground.

Want to lose some sleep? Check out Trubitsky's second year in Chicago.

And without the fumbling issues Jones had.
Sure, Jones was a rookie and Trubitsky was in his second year, and Trubitsky's struggled since. But every time I watch Jones I think of Trubitsky and worry that the story isn't written yet. (Honestly it's not written for Trubitsky yet either, look at Ryan Tannehill.)

I think Jones is and will continue to be a better passer.
Nothing about Mitch Trubisky scares me aside from the fact that he can take off running if lanes open up. We had a tougher matchup against an old Ben this past Monday. I just don't think he's that good.

Completely agree I don’t want to prop up newton too much but this seemed to be a match made in heaven. How on earth the nfl could just let the pats snag Newton for nothing I’ll never know. Newton is a former mvp. He’s won playoff games. I know what foles has done too, I’d say he was an ok option but it just seems awful “safe” to go foles.
Trubisky. I think him not having to play in front of fans could help him though.
