is very good, but I'd rather have Saquon. My recollection is also that the Browns offered both their second round picks to move from #4 to #2 to take Saquon and pair him with Mayfield.

Well, to my knowledge, Instagram and YouTube aren't malicious Chinese spyware
To my knowledge TikTok is the next iteration of social media that directly preys on shorter attention spans and phone addiction. If offers talentless individuals another platform to post videos of themselves doing stuff that you never cared to see.
of course it's close. Barkley is better but Chubb is fantastic. No need to dump on him. He runs with unusual power and quickness. He's a threat to take it to the house on almost every play and he is a killer between the tackles.
I was just going to say that this is a perfect example of perceived analytics getting in the way, when I'm fairly certain having a 11 point lead is going to deliver a higher win probability than an 8 point lead, and having a 15 point lead isn't going to tilt the scale too much more
Burrow is a week one rookie starter and seems to have no training wheels. Right into the fire, letting him figure it out. The coaches must have enormous regard for his capacity.
To take 3 minutes to review seemingly half of all TDS to see if a runner was down 6 inches before the ball crossed? Wish they’d just review the obvious

I don't know about that, pretty conservative game plan. They are going very safe with the route combos and drops. Looks to be a smart decision maker at the very least.
Yeah, I was talking about the missed holdings, picks, interminable TD reviews and overturns based on nothing definitive, and then ticky tack penalties.
Quentin Nelson and Nick Chubb versus Saquon and Will Hernandez
Everyone knows this would be a better combo in hindsight, but there is not one team that would have drafted a guard at #2 overall, and very few on this site would have supported that.
it's revisionist history/hindsight. Just bc we went RB / G doesn't mean reversing it to G/RB would have happened - a Guard does not go 2nd overall, ever.
Cleveland trying to give away the game. They dominated the line and still would pass the ball and not do the right thing. Mayfield is not there best player give the ball to the two backs and keep running it down there throat. Glad he is not our QB.
You're right. It's not close. Statistically Chubb is way better than SB. Should we credit the Cleveland O-line? Their use of a blocking back? Something is responsible for Chubb being able to break free of the LOS, dart and change direction and gain yards.

What are you talking about? Barkley has more yards/touch, more yards from scrimmage and more total touchdowns. Also, Chubb has played 3 more games, so the margins would be even higher in Barkley’s favor...How is Chubb statistically way better than Barkley?

Is there even a shred of truth to this??
Can you point to a statistic where Chubb is way better? If not, then why post shit like this?
Chubb is a very good RB, but he does not have the explosion of SB.

This is rediculous. Running the ball doesn't happen in a vacuum. Run blocking and who you are playing against matter a lot, to every running back. If you can't see the difference between Cleve running the ball into Cincy's D, vs the Giants OL running into the Pitts D then there really is no point in reasoning with you.

Yeah mindset to take a Guard that early is difficult although changes in the NFL game over the years have made the position as valuable as ever.
And if there was a guy who was worth it, Quinton Nelson was it. An elite prospect going into that draft, mean streak, intelligent, run and pass block at the highest level. And its not like he lasted long going #6 to Colts.
I would suggest he clearly made it worth their while being one of the few guys ever to be named 1st Team All-Pro in their first two years.

It’s all about situations many times. If the Giants picked Nelson and he had to play with the shitastic LT and center play that the Giants have run out there we would all be bitching about Nelson being a wasted pick and complaining that’s why you don’t take a guard at 2. And there’s less than zero chance he’d be a two time All Pro playing next to Solder and the mosh mash centers we’ve had to endure.
Sadly as it seems, that might be very true BigBlueShock
Definitely, especially because he took a sack to preserve the FG instead of forcing a throw that might have been picked. Jones should take note.
I also forgot Olivier Vernon was a person. Thought he retired 3 years ago.

Conversely you could say he looks like a game manager out there. Not saying there's much to be gleaned from guys first game and a half.
Could have had a V-8! Give it a rest.
Was Nelson going to play LG, C, RG, And RT? Otherwise, I’ll take what we have
Just a weird way to shit on Jones, doesn’t even make any sense. If he “took the sack to preserve a FG” and fumbled what would your thoughts be?
We also could have drafted Josh Rosen at #2.

“Taking a sack to preserve a field goal”——lolololol
This is it.

Better to have a 40 FG attempt than risk a poor throw that could be intercepted.
He didn't fumble. The risk of him doing so by taking the sack was less than the risk of being intercepted because he made a poor throw under duress.
Jones's decision was terrible, especially given that he did it after a 15 play drive with the score only 16 - 10. I'm not sure why that's not obvious.
Thanks for the profanity. Much appreciated.
Burrow is his squeeze tonight

is now a praise? That should be saved for throwing it away, not taking an 11 yard loss and turn a chip shot into almost 40 yards.

What profanity, “shit on”? Good lord..
Pre draft my plan was to take someone else with our first pick then Chubb with our next pick
And when do the Giants get to play Cincy??

helluva back
Tampa Bay keeps letting NYI hang around, they're going to be in trouble - they got to end this.
The earlier first down was a textbook pick in that the TE just blew up the DB to take him out of the play
Analytics!
Take the points and the better chance at the W!
He sure is!!! lol
Where have I seen that before?
Garrett is on the other side.

What cracks me up about both of these teams is that they are dirty as hell and still suck.
The right side of the Bengals OL is really bad.
Funny I was just thinking how neither are better than Jones

I wouldn't trade Jones for either. No way.
Tough loss, too much dinking and dunking at mid-ice
I think that;s more a function of the Bengals run D sucking. It is like watching QB's against our secondary and marveling at how great they look
Of course, Buck and Aikman seemed to be fooled. You'd swear we're watching a division contending team
Cincy run defense isn’t rated well. With that said Chubb, Hunt and the OL were very strong tonight and deserve the credit.

Baker has started way more games than Jones and Burrow.
jones is in the middle (obviously), and this is literally Burrows second game...

I’m aware of all of that, I said what I said

Wish the Giants could run block like the Browns (138 yards against the Ravens and now 215 yards against the Bengals.)

Those teams run defenses do not even compare to Pitt.

The Ravens' run defense doesn't even compare to Pitt's? They were the 5th best in the league last year. Pittsburgh was 14th.
