Back to back Ks. Hurt
Guy is an absolute professional hitter.

Im a hicks guy too.
People expect so much offense out of him but he brings so much more to the team. Just the sox knowing his arm stopped a tag. We win on next pitch. Great team effort. This team could be p3aking at the right time. Need to figure playoff rotation but overall they are playing good baseball
With games almost everyday, its natural to have a few duds but grest teams find ways to win and thats what they did.
Your boy sanchez came up clutch. See he is heating up. Hope it stays that way.
LMAO. There were great plays on both sides.
Our biggest blemish was giving up that three run shot to ginger turdburger.
It was a great game.
Lot of clutch hits late, and the bullpen gave up only 1 unearned run in 7.1 IP. We’ll take it!

That and getting shut down by Martin Perez's sorry ass. Got it done when necessary though
Jints gets it done again
I was thinking the same thing.
I know it was only against the Sox but to come back late down four, get out of some tough spots on D, give up the lead and then take it again an inning later and win the game really showed me how gritty this team is.
I was hopeful but a couple of weeks ago wasn’t sure we’d see this team again but here they are playing great winning ball and healthy for the most part.
Let’s keep it going to finish the season and they’ll be a tough out for anyone no matter their seed.
Twice in extra innings we were all but doomed and managed to escape both times.
DJ just crushes these oppo field ropes - you see it off the bat and you know it's a double. You just knew when he came to the plate in extras with his 11 game hit streak on the line and a runner in scoring position, he was going to come through.
Sure enough...
I absolutely refuse to watch DJ play baseball in any other uniform for the next 3-4 years. He is the glue. Judge at 100%, all systems go is the best player on the team, but I really believe DJ is just the most important guy in the entire lineup. We were lost without him. When he came back, everything changed and we started hitting again.
Last note - and seemingly minor, but I was really impressed with Hicks' laser to Sanchez in the bottom of the 12th to keep Vazquez pitted @ 3rd as the tying run.
That was great to see since he hasn't really uncorked one like that since he's been back from TJS. That arm must be feeling good. Perfect strike.
These guys have some magic right now and it's coming together at the right time.
Keep it rolling.
The guy is a great player and I usually throw “great” around like a manhole cover. I admit I thought he was good but maybe a product of Coors field as I didn’t see him enough but watching him everyday for two years now, it’s clear to me he’s a great player.
Priority one in the off-season has to be get him resigned.
He's a must sign, really don't care what the cost is. That swing will age well, and so should his glove.
Pretty sure it is. He went on the IL on 8/17 just not sure if it was before or after the win vs the Sox but they lost every game after til he returned vs the Mets on 8/29.
If Sanchez starts hitting like this and guys stay healthy (big knock on wood!) this lineup is unfair. We should play by different rules. Couple that with the bullpen suddenly coming together and pitching l;ike the back of their baseball cards, and a top 3 in the rotation of Cole Tanaka and Garcia and I'm pretty sure nobody in baseball wants to play us. I do think its big to get that 4th spot and host that initial 3 game series in the first rd. Even with this weird season and no crowds besides vs. Tampa we've been next to unbeatable at YS.

we will never be out of a game. (with health) Very explosive. Last night's defense was not great and that needs to be cleaned up. Nice to see Sanchez have a good night with the bat. Once Judge gets going, teams won't be able to pitch around any of our guys. Fun stretch.

Agree. What a difference from the feeling 2 to 3 weeks ago.
