Promoted to active roster: Nick Thurman (Patriots), Sean Chandler, Ryan Lewis (Giants), Josh Adams, Josh Malone (Jets), Trevor Williams (Eagles), Hroniss Garsu (49ers), Anthony Rush (Seahawks), Cyril Grayson, Tanner Hudson (Buccaneers), Cameron Batson, Jeremy McNichols (Titans)
So With Chandler - that's interesting. 2 weeks , 2 promotions. They only have 1 more opportunity with him left or else they would lose him or have to add him to the 53.
Interesting I think the reason they are promoting him this week signals Coughlin is unlikely to play and they may want him on specials - where he excels.
Chandler is one of those guys who is good enough to be on a 53 and a decent stand-in, very good special teams player.
This is 3 different Head Coaching regimes he has stuck with the team. Which is impressive for a bottom of the roster player and sheds some light on just how good he is at special teams.

Neither. Teams are allowed to move 2 practice squad players to the game day choice of players without losing rights to the player until they do so 3 times.

We were good on specials last week despite the hits we took in pre-season with injuries. If Chandler's experience and ST's play helps, well I look forward to seeing him contribute.

Is he good enough to be on a 53-man roster? Maybe the awful rosters of the 2018 and 2019 Giants, but no team outside his home state seems to think he’s worth a spot. He’s been waived by the Giants at least twice, and went unclaimed both times despite (or maybe because of) an abundance of game tape from 2018. He was on the Giants’ practice squad for a month in 2019, and does not appear to have drawn any interest.
“Decent stand-in, very good special teams player” describes ex-Giant Michael Thomas. That’s probably Chandler’s ceiling.

I think Love would be a step up from Ballentine.
