agree we need to move Jones, but last week he was under more pressure than any other QB. He can't rollout on every play. He's having the ball slapped away by defenders who would knock it away from almost any QB in those situations. The bad OL is compounded by the fact that aside from Slayton it takes our WRs time to separate.

the problem there is the play calling.. they need to get barkley in space. he isn't going to break runs when he's met in the backfield.
The issue is when you get hit right after taking the hand off you have no momentum, you've barely taken a step. You can't run through someone from a standing still position. Give him 2 steps then sure, like on the 5 yard run. But that first play he was basically still standing when they were there
But he aint fixing this defense, this offensive line, or barkley being soft as sharmin .

the problem wasn't the fumble per se. He wasted time in the pocket and panicked, which led to the fumble.

Agreed. Stutter steps wont help when 3 defenders have you surrounded. Hit the line hard and try to get a yard or two
the answer to a stacked line is to get Barkley out for screens and flares. the play calling is bad

Agreed. We can't replace the whole OL, but I'd seriously consider Lemieux to replace Zeitler. I'd also use Smith more as a blocking TE.
