There are plenty of other issues with the giants, but there is no reason the GM should keep his job after this season.

Then that leads back to John Mara who hired a new coach with a GM who has been nothing short of a train wreck and had a make or break season coming.

So now we'll fire Gettleman and hire a GM and have a coach who may or may not be good that we likely tell the GM he has to keep.

The Giants started out well, 3-0 IIRC.

Then I made a deal with the universe where as long as the Yankees won the World Series, the Giants could lose every game for the rest of my life. With SBXLII already in the back pocket it was a deal I was ok with.

The Yanks beat the Phillies and the Giants went on to lose like 5 straight weeks and things were feeling really strange for a bit.
