We just don't have the talent. And now, we're going to be without Saquon for the rest of the year. Shep we'll have to see.
I'm encouraged and discouraged. I like how we're playing hard and playing for Coach Judge, but this looks like another clunker of a season. I didn't have high expectations going in per se, but it really, really sucks that we're looking at another season where we won't sniff the playoffs...and if we do, it's because the NFC East is awful.
Two big weaknesses the team has. No pass rush and not enough threats at the WR spot. With a good run blocking OL they could manage but they are not at that point yet.
The team played like crap for the first 30 minutes, and didn't have enough to come back in the second half.
Should have got for it on fourth and goal midway through the fourth quarter. A field goal didn't improve anything. Only thing it did was give the Giants a chance if Bears made the field goal. But they didn't. So the Gano FG was pointless.
It's nice to see the team play hard for a coach. But Gettleman once again failed to field a team that has the talent to win NFL games. Will the team still fight when they are 0-5?
From being a play away. Fought hard but still 0-2. Nice drive at the end. Barkley injury sucks but can’t be surprised, running backs get hurt much more than any other position. Everyone warned about this risk when picking at #2.
It's nice to see the team play hard for a coach. But Gettleman once again failed to field a team that has the talent to win NFL games. Will the team still fight when they are 0-5?
Exactly. Every team fights hard to not be 0-2. Now we'll see especially without SB
Had a chance to win a game, to show the fan base that they could get it done against an average Bears team. Failed. Now Barkley’s gone for the year, wins aren’t on the horizon and I’m tired of it. 2011 seems like a lifetime ago and it almost was.
Also that 3rd down before the half gave them 4 extra points. But Jones just couldn't make the play at the end. Drops didn't help, Slayton was shut down by fuller and had a key drop.
But TOs...those again were the difference, we always always come back to these with DJ, these cant continue. If we are in position to draft Lawrence we should, I cant take a QB who turns the ball over 2-3x a game.
Without Shep/Barkley, way tougher to come back......
Makes not activating Gallman even worse.
They have to let Engram switch to WR and go with Kaden at TE. They need to open this offense up and go with Gallman.
0-2 on the way to 0 and a lot I think, unfortunately. I don’t know why I have any expectations with this team. They draft in the top 5 or so every year for a reason. We are in the traditional Browns, Bengals, Cardinals, Jets tier.
Count up your moral victories if you want but 0-2 is 0-2. Scored 13 lousy points, haven’t broken 30 total in two weeks combined. Good teams score 30 weekly as a matter of course.
Honestly I think people are insane with what they are expecting out of this team with a new staff a new set of schemes and a ton of new faces. Especially on the OL. And with basically NO PRESEASON.
If you are thinking we are going to go out looking sharp and crisp under those circumstances, against established teams.... guess what? This team was in the game against another top ten defense (YES the Bears were a top 10 defense last year and basically returned EVERYONE) with a chance to win up to the last play of the game.
I’m trying to be positive and patient for first month.
But it’s not easy and if they go 5 or 6 weeks without a win it becomes hard to find positives. Jones had his ups and downs but at some point he has to stop turning it over so much or he’s never going to be a winning player.
A loss is a loss.So many issues beyond personnel here. Schemes outright sucked. I see no growth so far from DJ.I have been a big supporter but he either locks onto his #1 or tries to thread the needle into tight spaces which gets him in trouble. On the defensive side, what happened to the pass rush that seemingly put good pressure last week on Big Ben. They should have blitzed the shit out of Trubisky. And don't get me started on the ridiculous play with 8 seconds for 4 yards instead of taking a shot into the end zone. No moral victories today.
Honestly I think people are insane with what they are expecting out of this team with a new staff a new set of schemes and a ton of new faces. Especially on the OL. And with basically NO PRESEASON.
The first half of this game wasn't even professional football. If you are okay with that, your judgement needs adjusting.

Everyone should expect them to at least appear prepared to play. That's crazy that you wouldn't.
Giants have played 2 of the top lets say 5 D's so far
The OL was way better, Jones was better, the defense gave up 14 total pts, and we outscored them 14-0 in the 2nd half.
Hell yes this is promising. Who the hell thought we would be a SB contender this year anyway? Most of the predictions were like 7-9, 6-10. 8-8 was said to be a good season.
Well I definitely can see 8-8 now, even without Barkley. Put in Gallman, get Freeman or someone else, whatever.
This is good
Why do we have to keep reading about Gettleman not having done his job
It's only game 2. Give this team time to work together for more than 4 weeks before anybody gets judged by a bunch of winey couch potatoes. We won't know how good or bad these guys are until much later in the year. This season is going to have it's ups and downs. We're not going to win the Super bowl this year! Get over it! Enjoy the games, they're playing competitively!

I don’t have big expectations for this team either. Anyone who expected much isn’t dealing with reality but I get it that people are frustrated. I’m actually happy that I didn’t have to spend money for my season tickets this year. The constant losing with no real signs that a turnaround is close takes a toll on people’s patience. I totally get it that fans are angry.
thought we were a five win team with Barkley. Now, I don't know. Two tough losses. I know there are no moral victories, but we were extremely competitive in both, and against two very good defensive fronts. The team is playing hard.
Jones has basically nothing to work with, especially if Shepard is also out. Teams will double Slayton all year, look to take away Engram, and live with everyone else and whatever they do.
On defense, we still have no edge pass rush.
It's going to be a long year, but the team is more cohesive.

I agree. The OL made some nice strides today. The lack of pass rush may be the achilles but they have a chance in the division. Philly has big OL issues and age. McCarthy may be 0-2 and probably scheduling massages already. Washington has a nice front but after that...
That first half was so very, very bad though. The defense was OK in the second half but still couldn't get any three and outs, allowing Chicago to burn a lot of clock.
Considering just how poorly they played in the first half, I guess I can understand why some people are so impressed that they made a game of it, but it just seems like we keep seeing the same kind of game over and over again.

The Redskins absolutely throttled the Eagles with a new coach, new schemes, zero preseason games.
You're acting like it's asking a lot for them to start the game competently. Clearly the second half shows they were capable of looking at least average.
I’m in this camp. When you’ve lost as much as this team over the past few years...regardless of the players on the roster, there are no moral victories. Absent actual victories, this team will be hiring a new GM and if we’re lucky JJ would survive that change. But that would mean more changes on the personnel side. Or as many have opined another rebuild.

Redskins for the most part have a better roster than we do. Look at their front 7, we are not even close. They also have a better and more established OL. And guess what, the Eagles and Cowboys are both 0-2. Anybody who thought under these circumstances that we were going to come out and be some crisp team it's just wishful thinking. I was expecting this, so myabe that's why I am handling it better. Yeah losing sucks but it's going to take some time for this staff and team to find it's identity ESPECIALLY under the circumstances. And they were in both games.
RE: RE: I just hope Gettleman doesn't trade precious draft capital in a wasted
Bears mistakes are why they even had a chance at the end. Missed a makeable FG in the 4th and dropped a sure TD in the first half, leading to a FG instead. That's seven more points right there.
I mean, yes, it's good that they didn't just give up in the second half, but at some point you have to actually win one of these games.
That first half was so very, very bad though. The defense was OK in the second half but still couldn't get any three and outs, allowing Chicago to burn a lot of clock.

Very good summary. Sure, they showed some fight and the OL looked a little better in the 2nd half. If that is all we have to take away from games every week, I will not be happy nor optimistic.
I can already see what this site will be. Too many are already repeating ad nauseum that we have a new coach so it's OK. I say bullshit. They hired Judge to instill a no nonsense attitude and to try to start turning things around beginning this year. Does that mean we should expect 10 wins? Hell no. But, it does mean we should not be happy with losses of the same variety with the same overall weaknesses as the last several years. The Bears were winnable game. They had a chance to beat the Steelers. Yet, they came away with 2 losses and lost their best player, likely for the season. Where is the so-called moral victory?
Ball on the 15, time MAYBE for 2 plays. Jones HAS to throw it right away to get 2 plays in He took the WiDE open Lewis for 5. Increase the chance e last play would NOT be stopped short. Last play, Engram was mugged at the goal line. No call.
Some of the same people calling out a lack of patience
They Make tons of use of his mobility...we don't with jones...
lots of options, read options, screens, outs, flares...easy plays...we don't do shit for jones on top of no running games and 7 sacks with Fleming being horrible.
He needs to protect the ball and be better with helping his OL with pass protections, but the playcalling needs to be better. Call up Victor off PS, we need some size.
How about doing something in the first half and not giving the game away. I have news for you the Bears suck. Can’t be them it’s going to be a long long season.
I am sorry about our running back. That’s a loss to the team. Big question as to whether he will be back to what he was.
RE: I just hope Gettleman doesn't trade precious draft capital in a wasted
Who cares? Most people here think he wastes the picks when he actually drafts players. So... what does it matter if you (not you specifically) do not think DG drafts well?

The Bears do not suck. They have some talent on the roster especially on defense. Their OL is not terrible, and they had top ten rated defense the last 2 years. 12-4 and 8-8 under Nagy. And the reason they struggled last year was because of Trubisky, who seems to be playing better.
The Bears are not a good team. The Steelers are good but not a powerhouse. The supposed strength of the defense was stopping the run and yet there is no evidence of this as a strength. Very little pass rush. Still hope that Jones will be the guy, but his management of the Lsst few plays was absolutely not impressive. Without Barkley, and with Shepard a constant injury victim this offense may be weaker than the defense.
Too early to expect a DG firing, but it’s already guaranteed to be the highlight of what looks rot be another horrible season.
to have everything figured out after 20 practices and no preseason games? And then Saquon goes out? For years, we've been talking about our inability to make halftime adjustments, and today we improved on both sides of the ball after the break.

Trubisky stunk last week and will stink going forward. The Giants are just so bad they make him look good.
Given the lousy talent on this team is a testament to Joe Judge and the coaching staff. We aren't committing a lot of penalties and we seem to be in a position to make a play, we just don't make it. That's on the GM. We need an infusion of talent, and Gettleman isn't up to the task. I say can him at the end of the season and promote Judge to HC/GM. He couldn't be worse than our last two GMs.
Is it too early to say I’ve seen enough Of Ballentine?
I’ve definitely seen enough Patrick Graham 3 man rushes to last a lifetime.
This game was depressing to watch, then they decided to make it close enough to have a chance for a final kick in the balls. This is just a bad fucking football team that really doesn’t look much different than last season. I hope we can see gradual improvement like the Dolphins last season. That’s pretty much all we have at this point. I’m looking forward to Sy’s recap because I need to know if people were open and Jones was missing them or if the entire thing was a disaster. Few things say Giants football this decade quite like allowing a 23 yard run on 1st & 25.
Takes patience regardless. Then add in a rookie coach. Just because people don't think they should have to be patient because of how poor the team has been doesn't mean there won't be required time for new coaches, new players, new schemes, and no preseason to see what we have going forward.

Stop. The Bears are going to fight it out with Detroit for second place in that division and the Steelers are no where near the Ravens, much less the Chiefs. They’re both better than the Giants but big whoop.
This is a bad team with very little talent. Name a player that would play elsewhere from the back 7.
The losing will continue until more talent gets added, and the people currently in charge are responsible for the current talent, so don’t hold out hope.

they ran the ball down our throats. Same as the the last how many years we could not get a stop on defense early to give our offense more time. Had to use all our timeouts while they controlled the ball. Williams is a big person but no threat in the pass rush and in containment. Just slow. F DG for this. He never heard Ernie A say you can never have enough pass rushers? We have D tackles who can't stop the run when it counts. We have no pass rushers the other team has to plan for. We still have no quality linebackers. On our last drive why do we not throw the ball into the end zone once we are inside the 20? Eli did this his last 3 years as well. Dink and dunk but no score at the end.

He must have not gotten the memo about the pass rushers despite being working with the Giants when Accorsi was GM; we've never gone anywhere without pass rushers, way back to the 1950s and 1960s teams that challenged the Baltimore Colts and the Green Bay Packers, the Big Blue Wrecking Crew of the 1980s, and the two Super Bowl teams with Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning.

There is no legitimate "reason" for them to come out of the gate as embarrassingly as they did. Case in point, the coach lights into them at half time and they end up playing a consistent 30 minutes.

Both games have shown that we can play a half. Of course the real trick is having enough for a whole game.
The Giants lack top end talent on both sides of the ball
I do believe we have some good young players. I do believe we will improve as the season moves along even without Barkley.
However, I'd be lying if I didn't say I am a tad worried about D. Jones after two games due to his penchant for turnovers. Sure, it is a new system and perhaps he is trying to make something out of little or nothing, but turnovers in the NFL are coach killers and of course lead to LOSSES.
I believe SF is up next and they have injuries. We shall see if we are learning and improving this coming week or not.
I feel awful for him. Second year in a row where he will miss significant time (obviously much more time this year). This franchise has absolutely, positively no luck whatsoever and it's been that way since the Hurricane Sandy game against the Steelers in 2012. What a windfall. I'm pretty much speechless at this point. Not angry, not sad, just numb at this point. And then to actually play better in the 2nd half without Barkley and Shep, and then to just lose in soul-crushing fashion. Good grief.

There is a difference between reasons and excuses.
There is no legitimate "reason" for them to come out of the gate as embarrassingly as they did. Case in point, the coach lights into them at half time and they end up playing a consistent 30 minutes.
In my opinion your view is too simplistic, but maybe you're right.
The 4th down "should have been" stop late in the 4th quarter where the ball bounced right into Massie's waiting arms for a fluke 1st down has been in line with our luck these last few years.
2 years in a row Barkley's season get destroyed after he was awesome as a rookie.
If there's anything I can say it's that the 49ers game is winnable if their guys who are banged up can't play.
We played a team that the Giants could have beaten .....and did not show up in the first half.
Lost their best player for the season.
Their QB played with ALL their weapons for the 1st time...for roughly 19min.
All he showed for it was the same mistakeshe....fumbles and an INT!...which is now pretty consistent in year 2.
When a comeback looked possible, they gave up a QB run of 12 yds, another long run and a 24 yd run....
This team does not know how to win.
Coaches seem sound....but results are the same....
they ran the ball down our throats.
That's what I was saying as well. We spend all our resources at DT and we get blown off the ball right up the gut like candy asses. Until proven otherwise these guys up front are bums. You gotta do it when it matters.
Bears running there killed the Giants. Tomlinson looked like he was on skates! He was not good on the last drive.
I also think our LBer play, with exception of Martinez has been subpar. In the 3-4 you have to have solid LBers. Its been ignored since we've become a 3-4. For as good as Golden was last year, he hasn't done crap this year so far!

theybdidnt have williams and lawrence in on those first 2 plays where the bears had the 2 big runs...put them back in and they stuffed the run

That's a great rant and all, but seems strange on who gets singled out here. Williams had a very good game today and was actually not on the field for two of the runs in the last drive.
No quality LB's?? The LB play has been a lot better in the first two games. Blake Martinez has been very good. Fackrell made a couple really good plays.

I am sick of the losing
I think it's a misnomer to say our receiving corp are weapons. Even when healthy, SB is the only player that opponents are concerned with. Slayton hopefully will continue to grow and become just that, but the rest of the corp are not legit threats.
disappointing part of the game was Chicago's last drive. The Giants have devoted tons of resources to stopping the run and Chicago runs off 5:41 off the clock breaking off runs at almost 10 yards a carry.
1. It seems Jones is really intent on keeping a play alive until he either throws it or fumbles. It’s awesome that he’s a gamer and can stay in the pocket, but Jesus, after 4 seconds, you gotta get outta there. That fumble was just not ideal when it comes to pocket presence, he’s got the ball just hanging down there ready to be knocked away. That shit has to stop, now.
2. The lack of a legitimate pass rush is really getting old. And I’m not saying that it’s actually horrible thus far cause it has been alright, it looks improved. But, for about 3 years now, we have seen time and time again these opposing QBs just extend plays and drives where other teams can get off the field on third down because of a pass rush that we simply don’t seem to have. I just don’t get it. It’s just brutal watching guys like Mitch Trubisky run around back there. This needs to be priority #1 in the offseason, get some fucking edge rushers.
3. We seem to be a team that just can’t make a play. Whether it’s on offense or defense, it just always seems to fall short. And I’m not entirely sure if this is just because we don’t have the talent or because we aren’t lucky or whatever, it just doesn’t seem to happen for us and it’s been that way for a long time now. And until that changes, we are going to keep losing.
Now for some positives....
1. Our defense seems to be a lot tougher and a lot more sound. Tackling is a lot better, coverage is way better, linebacker play is like a thousand times better, and if we start to play more like we did for the entire second half, we might have the beginning of a really nice unit. I don’t have many issues with Graham so far, I think he’s done a pretty good job with what we have.
2. Andrew Thomas looks legit. There’s been a few plays where he’s gotten mixed up, but for the most part, dude looks like he’s gonna be a stalwart there and that’s probably the most important thing to this aside from Jones.
That’s about all I got. Hopefully we can take advantage of the niners injuries and get a win.
I liked shurmer and he got railroaded in my opinion
With his staff. I thought if he had another year je could have shown more progress wiith the team in terms of wins then a new coach like judge. We are stuck with judge now even if we go 0-16 because firing judge would mean we are paying two ex coaches a salary
one thing that doesn’t change is the intellectual content of posts
after a Giant loss. It’s to the point where reading them, almost makes up for losing from humorous amazement at the impatience, poor reality testing, and general mid understanding displayed.

Not that this post is much better.
I'd honestly be more concerned about an organization that can not get it right for 9 seasons straight and has been the actual worst for the last 5 than a couple of slight overreactions on an online football forum.
BlAtant hold
No doubt. Jones and company played their asses off in the second half
Of all the games in the early schedule this looked like the winnable game. The 49ers are next so the Giants are likely looking at 0-3.
Not a good indictment of DG
Should have got for it on fourth and goal midway through the fourth quarter. A field goal didn't improve anything. Only thing it did was give the Giants a chance if Bears made the field goal. But they didn't. So the Gano FG was pointless.
Defense was good and hung in there. Only 14 pts given up, only 7 after the 1st drive.
Always a tough game, but you have to love how it finished. The team is getting better.
troll
Probably more than this season if it's his ACL

Except the 49ers got killed with injuries today.
Mitch Trubisky doing Mitch Trubisky things.
Exactly. Every team fights hard to not be 0-2. Now we'll see especially without SB
So is Dallas and Philadelphia.

0-2.

Trevor Lawrence is going to end up in New York and/or the NFC East. Haha
It sure sounds like you're a fan of moral victories.

We've been down this road many times where the division stinks but those less shitty teams set things straight against the Giants.
That said...we're in for another really long season.
Count up your moral victories if you want but 0-2 is 0-2. Scored 13 lousy points, haven’t broken 30 total in two weeks combined. Good teams score 30 weekly as a matter of course.
If you are thinking we are going to go out looking sharp and crisp under those circumstances, against established teams.... guess what? This team was in the game against another top ten defense (YES the Bears were a top 10 defense last year and basically returned EVERYONE) with a chance to win up to the last play of the game.
Of all the games in the early schedule this looked like the winnable game. The 49ers are next so the Giants are likely looking at 0-3.
Niners are BADLY beat up.
No bosa, kittle vanged up. Mostert hurt
If mullens has to start its a winnable game

They're probably better, but expectations are much higher for those teams. Giants are rebuilding.
The first half of this game wasn't even professional football. If you are okay with that, your judgement needs adjusting.
another 5 or 6 yrs we'll have a reason to watch the 4th qtr of a season.
Trade Down! Trade Down! Trade Down!

Honestly I think people are insane with what they are expecting out of this team with a new staff a new set of schemes and a ton of new faces. Especially on the OL. And with basically NO PRESEASON.

Who said I'm OK with it? But if you are expecting different against established programs, I mean come on...

Everyone should expect them to at least appear prepared to play. That's crazy that you wouldn't.
This is good
Or there should have been offsetting PI penalties on the last play?
Everyone knew the 1st half was for building. This game made me more hopeful, not less

Leonard Williams is not worth the money.
OL showed big improvement.
Jones still a turnover machine.
Slayton shut down today. Chicago has some talent in their secondary.
That 57 yard miss though a long shot hurt us.
The Jets are a disaster, but we've been worse than them the last few years. We've been the worst team in the NFL.
Jones has basically nothing to work with, especially if Shepard is also out. Teams will double Slayton all year, look to take away Engram, and live with everyone else and whatever they do.
On defense, we still have no edge pass rush.
It's going to be a long year, but the team is more cohesive.

Dude. A new coach. New schemes. ZERO preseason games. This is basically our preseason. Against established teams with very good defenses. Honestly I just don't know what else to say.
Totally agree. They’re not winning anything this year. Don’t give away draft picks
That means two shots into the end zone.
Why the fuck did Daniel Jones complete a 5-yard pass to the 10 yard line burning six seconds.
That is a huge fucking mistake.

If the play goes for 2 or 3 more yards, it's not actually that bad of a play.
We also don't know whether or not everything downfield was covered. If it was, you take what you can get I guess.

Not a good indictment of DG
Is there ever such a thing as a good indictment?

Man, its's unsettling having a ticking time bomb of a GM, always wondering what weird thing he might do.
That Dallas part might not be true just yet.
I mean, yes, it's good that they didn't just give up in the second half, but at some point you have to actually win one of these games.

They have about 12 starters out including Bosa and their QB
Dumb players and poor coaching. They stood there watching the ball.
Quote:
And SF will steamroll us next week.

Even then, they still are going to field a much more talented team than the Giants.
Well that and at least average level defense. Actually had two turnovers on D today. When was the last time that happened?
That 23 yard run after the penalty was a fucking travesty though. All that beef up front but still getting run on.
Double meaning fully intended.
Ha yep I was definitely wrong there.
Well I know you are not talking about me there at least. I hated the Shurmur hire from day one... lol
The Giants have the worst record in the league over the past three seasons. It’s hard to feel good about moral victories.
lots of options, read options, screens, outs, flares...easy plays...we don't do shit for jones on top of no running games and 7 sacks with Fleming being horrible.
He needs to protect the ball and be better with helping his OL with pass protections, but the playcalling needs to be better. Call up Victor off PS, we need some size.
The Giants have the worst record in the league over the past three seasons. It’s hard to feel good about moral victories.
Well for my part I didn't say anything about a moral victory. I'm just shocked at what people are expecting based on the circumstances.
I am sorry about our running back. That’s a loss to the team. Big question as to whether he will be back to what he was.
Who cares? Most people here think he wastes the picks when he actually drafts players. So... what does it matter if you (not you specifically) do not think DG drafts well?
I am sorry about our running back. That’s a loss to the team. Big question as to whether he will be back to what he was.
The Bears do not suck. They have some talent on the roster especially on defense. Their OL is not terrible, and they had top ten rated defense the last 2 years. 12-4 and 8-8 under Nagy. And the reason they struggled last year was because of Trubisky, who seems to be playing better.
Everyone knew the 1st half was for building. This game made me more hopeful, not less
This is my favorite post of the year I think.
Agreed!
I like Jones, but where are the points? 16 points last week and 13 today. That is not enough.
0-2 now staring down SF, LAR & DAL. Could easily see 0-5. There’s no spinning this, this team NEVER wins.
Too early to expect a DG firing, but it’s already guaranteed to be the highlight of what looks rot be another horrible season.
It's depressing enough watching this years-long shit show. If the Jets were good, it'd be unbearable .
So should we expect a complete game next week?

Trubisky stunk last week and will stink going forward. The Giants are just so bad they make him look good.
Sorry for Quads. Get better brother.
Very little to be comfortable with on this roster moving forward.
Quote:
The Bears are not a good team. The Steelers are good but not a powerhouse. The supposed strength of the defense was stopping the run and yet there is no evidence of this as a strength. Very little pass rush. Still hope that Jones will be the guy, but his management of the Lsst few plays was absolutely not impressive. Without Barkley, and with Shepard a constant injury victim this offense may be weaker than the defense.
Too early to expect a DG firing, but it’s already guaranteed to be the highlight of what looks rot be another horrible season.

How about Bradberry and Ryan? Blake Martinez?
Quote:

Bradbury maybe. Did Martinez look good today? When the Bears wanted to run, they did.
Neither are superstars and both were FA. WHOOPTY WHOOP.

Honestly I think people are insane with what they are expecting out of this team with a new staff a new set of schemes and a ton of new faces. Especially on the OL. And with basically NO PRESEASON.
The first half of this game wasn't even professional football. If you are okay with that, your judgement needs adjusting.
Who said I'm OK with it? But if you are expecting different against established programs, I mean come on...
Everyone should expect them to at least appear prepared to play. That's crazy that you wouldn't.
Dude. A new coach. New schemes. ZERO preseason games. This is basically our preseason. Against established teams with very good defenses. Honestly I just don't know what else to say.
I don't know why this has to be explained repeatedly! They had 14 days of practice in Pads to take in a new Coach, new Scheme, new Playbooks, etc..etc..
And yet with all that against them they have played 2 competitive games against two of the better teams in the NFL

Yeah, the new HC should make excuses regarding this because that's a smart look even though basic common sense knows it's an issue. Give me a break.

There is no legitimate "reason" for them to come out of the gate as embarrassingly as they did. Case in point, the coach lights into them at half time and they end up playing a consistent 30 minutes.

Both games have shown that we can play a half. Of course the real trick is having enough for a whole game.

I am sick of the losing
That's what I was saying as well. We spend all our resources at DT and we get blown off the ball right up the gut like candy asses. Until proven otherwise these guys up front are bums. You gotta do it when it matters.

I think it's a misnomer to say our receiving corp are weapons. Even when healthy, SB is the only player that opponents are concerned with. Slayton hopefully will continue to grow and become just that, but the rest of the corp are not legit threats.

Not that this post is much better.
I'd honestly be more concerned about an organization that can not get it right for 9 seasons straight and has been the actual worst for the last 5 than a couple of slight overreactions on an online football forum.
