Last week, some of us more prescient prognosticators were predicting 5, 6 or more Giants' victories this year. Suddenly, Barkley's ACL tear and the inability of the offense to generate much mojo, are we talked 1-2 victories?
If so, we need to revisit the question: If we finish with the worst record in the NFL earning the dubious distinction of obtaining the first pick in the 2021 draft, do we seriously contemplate drafting Trevor Lawrence?
As well as take offers to move down, which could be a franchise altering haul if we have faith that Jones is (or will become) a franchise QB.
I mean for Lawrence, the price should easily be two 1s and two 2s, no?
if Lawrence is there for you, you probably take him.

I can never tell if it's booze talking, or just raw stupidity, but if you're old enough to recall Stephen Baker's drafting in the 3 round almost 40 years ago you should be more knowledgeable than this post shows by now, if you paid only a minimal amount of attention.
If we are going to rally it will be this week at home vs a banged up 49'ers team.
I still believe in D. Jones and coach Judge, we could have won both of these games if we had a few breaks, but generally speaking we aren't as talented as either of the teams that beat us RIgHT NOW.
or 4.
None of the other games are locks? we are so bad now.
Still way too many mistakes in these games.
Cincinnati
Cleveland
And you cross your fingers no other team goes 2-14. I want the #1 pick.
Not taking anything away from Barkley, but it's not as if he's a difference-maker in terms of W's & L's. If you're going to revise their win total down now, it would be because you can't objectively look at their remaining schedule and note that neither the Cardinals nor Bengals look like pushovers and you can't predict any better than a split in the division.
Even if you give them 3-3 in the division, there are guaranteed losses vs. SEA & BAL, and likely losses vs LAR and TB. Next week vs SF is an unknown given their injuries, but even leaving that aside, I've got them down for 9 losses with these opponents undecided: SF, @CIN, ARI, CLE.

This team is 4-26 without Barkley in the lineup in those games, thats why. There were times when he just put this team on his back his rookie year.
Are we really saying that having a player of Barkleys caliber doesn't have a positive impact on wins? Really?

They're 8-22 with Barkley in the lineup in his career and have been held to 20 points or fewer in 15 of those 22 losses.

I'm saying that a RB can only impact a game so much, yes. But yeah, I'll never forget those incredible wins over the Redskins, Bucs and Dolphins.
I agree if they can win home and away against WTF; I mean the WFT. LOL!!!!

I disagree. It's not so much about what Barkley can or can't do (although he is a talent). It is what the offense can do when other DCs prepare to stop Barkley opening up other aspects of the offense. Teams don't have to run blitz without Barkley in the lineup. Our offensive line is still not good enough to create push for Lewis, Gallman or whoever else they bring in (Dvnt Freeman) to carry the ball. Consequently, that will limit our options in the passing game and place great pressure on Daniel Jones.
Just Gettleman?
I've been dinged here before for being irrationally anti-Chris Mara. Sure, I admit I have no clue what a, "Senior Vice President of Player Personnel" does, but it sounds important.... It sounds like he is involved in picking player personnel in some fashion.... I want the nepotism out of this team! If Chris Mara really is any good as a, "Senior Vice President of Player Personnel" then some other team will be happy to pick him up when he and John agree to respectfully go their separate ways....
