Jan. 20, 2008, serves as a defining moment in Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers' NFL career. The now-37-year-old quarterback played against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game six days after suffering a torn ACL and meniscus in his right knee. |
I assume this is humor/trolling, and people are taking the bait.

Had they turned to Volek, they could've won that game. You didn't mention how Rivers fared in that game - 17-31 for 211 yards, 0 TDs, and 2 INTs. Stellar.

Bro, he's being facetious. Take a nap.
Either way Brett is a moron

This is also a bit of revisionist history. This was the game Tomlinson decided to sit out because his knee hurt after taking the first 2 handoffs of the game. Chargers settled for field goals instead of TDs deep in the Pats redzone.

He's a statue with 2 good ACLs.

Taking the bait is an understatement. Well done, Brett.

Then... “Oh, OK. Rivers... Whatever.”

His arrogance and foolishness trying to play, rendering him a statue in the pocket that the Patriots easily teed off on, cost them a chance at the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, a competent and healthy veteran QB backup in Billy Volek watched from the sideline.

It's not at all. Rivers couldn't move and it was clear watching it. Whether or not Tomlinson played is not the issue. They would've had a better chance to win if Volek played. They still had a lot of talent on that team and Rivers should've sat.

I figured that, and yet I still like talking about football history. But I also love naps.
Well played.
