Lots of the same pieces and were historically bad in 2017...
Made up for all the bullshit close calls of 2015.
Agreed, but I’ll tell ya Minny, for several years prior, we were the unluckiest in the NFL, or close to it.
The only "fortunate" thing I recall is how many games they were able to seal with an actual defensive turnover at the very end. Seemed like it happened every week.
DRC going out of that game killed them.
Once he was out - Rodgers destroyed that secondary.
Had DRC not gone out of that game - I think the Giants would have made a serious run at the Super Bowl.

Was the luckiest in the NFL. Literally like 4 games, we were damn lucky to win

You got that right Bruce!

That was a good D! And while the offense was uninspiring, you had some exciting "walkoffs" by Eli and OBJ!
I kept on saying prior to to 2017 that the D was going to need to carry the team while the O got out of its own way and figured things out. I really believed they would because they were elite in 2016. The second that dallas week 1 game slipped away I knew we were dead because the O was SO bad, the D knew it, and they quit. You could absolutely see it in that game. The D tried to hang on for a couple more weeks but with every passing inept quarter of offensive football, the D slipped more and more into fuck this mode. And the rest is history.
It was like 14-6, I think after the Hail Mary. They were so mentally weak.
