NFT: Is asking How Deep Is Your Love a fair question?

Britt in VA : 9/23/2020 10:07 am
Or is that personal information that is off limits?

I really need to know.
HA!!
FatMan in Charlotte : 9/23/2020 10:08 am : link
That's still IMO the most epic meltdown in BBI history
Best line ever...

I read something a few minutes ago on here that had me laughing really hard at my desk, and I was trying to be quiet but couldn't stop laughing, and that thread just automatically came to mind.
Had to look it up.

Precisely. There are good and bad in all things.

To anybody who thinks that rocknroll is uniformly great I have three words for you: Flock of Seagulls. (Or, if you want to go back further, the BeeGees.) Duran Duran. We can play that game.

...the BeeGees sucked?

Holy cow.

Yes they sucked. I wouldn't have said this a month ago, but I had the misfortune of listening to a "retrospective" on the band on the radio a couple of weeks back. All the songs brought back instant memories. And the production values (and harmonies) were flawless. But ultimately, they sucked. They never sang about anything that mattered to somneone older than 12, imo.

My love of what? Or was that just a generic putdown? What are you talking about? My love of music? Of my kids? You are a judgemental jerk, aren't you? You love to talk about shit that you don't know about. You've tried for years to insult me, and have universally failed. But now you're talking about my love. What the fuck do you know about my love? People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Jerk.

And away we went.... The good ol' days.

say in BBI history, this was a fantastic rant. I still don't think he ever got the joke, but it produced gold!!

Are you lying, or confused? You didn't ask about my love. You made a definitive statement about it. You thought you were just being glib and funny. Ha ha! But you questioned the depth of my love. You can question my sanity. You can question my love of the Giants. You can question my patriotism. All of these things are secondary. But don't question my love, you piece of shit. You don't even fucking know. How dare you! Failed attempt at a Beegees pun or not, the words were spoken. You finally hurled an insult that meant something to me. Fuck you and the glib, dry, erudite, superior boat that you rowed in on.
Wonder if he's here

I like how mudbear started a long thread
PetesHereNow : 9/23/2020 5:33 pm : link
About how some Giant had a big play in one of the playoff games in the 1980s and that player wasn’t on the team yet.
And also that Toomer was the best play action wide receiver in the lg
PetesHereNow : 9/23/2020 5:35 pm : link
And then got defensive when we told him a play action wide receiver wasn’t a thing.
His memories were legendary..
FatMan in Charlotte : 9/23/2020 5:41 pm : link
he once talked in great detail about the 24 play drive that took up the entire 3rd quarter where OJ Anderson had 65 yards rushing.

He provided such spectacular specifics, but none of them were even close to being right.

Off the top of my head, I think it was an 80 yard drive, 15 plays and took 9 minutes and OJ got the TD and a long run, but probably still accounted for only 40 yards
The drive..

Yep, was that the drive he hammered the safety with the uppercut while running down the sideline...epic drive.

when you disrespect the Flock of Seagulls and Duran Duran as examples of bad music. That's a lack of musical knowledge wrapped up in some mighty shallow love.
C'mon..
