Trailer 2 came out 3 weeks ago (not sure how I missed that) and it really has my interest.
The action looks pretty intense albeit over-the-top but it is 007 afterall.

I think we also get a sneak-peak at our next 00.

No Time To Die - Trailer 2 - (

Ehh, VOD can wait IMO. This needs to be seen on the big screen for my first viewing.
Best Bond will always comes down to Connery and Craig for me by a significant margin.

or even better, put it on VOD.

I agree and disagree, I think it should be put out in the theaters, but also on VOD at the same time, or at least shortly thereafter.
I'm pissed that Disney pushed back all of their Marvel stuff again, I enjoy taking my kids to those movies selfishly, and soon enough, they won't be going with me, and I'll be SOL, as sad as that may be.
Cavill proved himself worthy in MI: Fallout. Just give him the role already.
I saw Tenet in IMAX and it was as pleasant a theater experience as I've had. Tenet is at about $200m globally so that means its starting to make back the cost and will then go to VOD to turn a profit.
Bond is far more reaching so opening up to theaters should make that $250m budget back pretty easily and then VOD after that.
As a Bond fan, I've been following this production closely. Some stuff sounds good, some not so good, but I think Cary Fukanaga (True Detective) will bring a fresh take, I'm eager to hear what Hans Zimmer does with a Bond score (he's a Bond aficionado himself), and at least the film looks gorgeous from the shots we've seen. Much more colorful and vibrant than SPECTRE, anyway.
I also appreciate the OP.

Let me add,
Airplane that dives into the ocean
Range Rovers flying all over the place. They are a subdued gray so I think they are being driven by evildoers.
This is kind of what I need while I am squirreled away during a pandemic.
I think they often get caught up trying to duplicate what they think worked last time, with diminishing returns. The Bond family history stuff in SkyFall was OK, but they really overplayed it in SPECTRE.
There's a lot at stake here. The budget for the movie might be around $200 million, but you also have to add all the marketing costs (and they've had to market this one twice since it got pushed back), and you're probably closer to $400 million for break-even.
Its my favorite of the Connery films. Most people love Goldfinger but I'm taking FRWL all day over it.
Even #3's inspection of the Spectre 'fitness center' was hokey and cute in a Cold War sense.
Agree this 'bout Bond's best and Craig a worthy successor (h/t to Adam), just watched Casino again, excellent. (He was surprisingly effective in 'Knives Out', didn't know what to expect).
Lots of great stuff in FRWL. Pedro Armendariz as one of the best Bond sidekicks. Robert Shaw and Lotte Lenya as baddies. Classic train brawl with Connery and Shaw hasn't been topped. Definitely one of my faves too.
Best Bond will always comes down to Connery and Craig for me by a significant margin.
Agree w both takes 100%
I thought the only logical choice for next bond was Idris Elba, but bringing Hardy into the conversation is super intriguing. I think he'd make a fantastic Bond and play on the type that Craig has built.
A lot also depends on what the Bond team want to do after Craig leaves. Reboot the whole thing again? Act like the next Bond is the same guy Craig has been playing? From what I've heard, the producers aren't in a hurry to recast the part, because they themselves aren't sure what the next step is.
Elba I would have loved 10 years ago had there been no Craig but starting multiple films at almost 50 kinda sucks. Hardy just passes the age test for me unless it would be a stopgap 1 or 2 film deal.
Ideally I’d love to see them go super young and go full “he isn’t Bond yet” like they started off with in Casino Royale.

Agreed! Connery and Craig for me, please!

Yeah, even if they only go the usual 3-4 years before the next Bond movie, Hardy will be closing in on 50 by then, which'll make him the oldest guy to debut in the role.
It's quite the conundrum. I get the feeling the producers don't want to go back to "business as usual" formula Bond movies, but after you've played the reboot card once, can you do it again effectively?
According to the institute’s archive, James Bond came to Poland on Feb. 18, 1964, and was officially employed as an archivist for the British Embassy Military Attache. He soon came to the attention of Polish counterintelligence officers.
“We know he was in Poland ... in 1964 and 1965,” Marzena Kruk, director of the IPN’s archive, told Reuters.
“He traveled a bit around Poland ... he liked women, the same as his literary namesake, but there is not even a word about Martini,” she said, referring to the fictional character’s favorite tipple. “However, there is information that he liked Polish beer.”
