I was right there with you until I had kids. Those damn things were always the last thing left in the house three weeks after H-ween, so in a pinch, I trained myself to muscle them down. I suppose I have developed a tolerance - and maybe even a liking - for them now...
mentioned I have a hard time believing gets passed out on Halloween.
Black licorice? Circus peanuts? Mary Janes? Apples (which aren't even candy)? Even candy corn, which is of course associated with halloween doesn't really get passed out on halloween. A bowl at a party maybe, but even then not so much.
apples still aren't candy no matter how you interpret the criteria.
And black licorice, my guess is almost anyone who has that as their response never received black licorice trick or treating or at a Halloween party.
And circus peanuts too, pretty sure those little Styrofoam peanut shaped creamsicle colored mashmallows(?) never saw the inside of a trick or treating bag either.
Some of us should have read the rules more throughly. It’s weird that people just named candy they didn’t like on a thread specifically about candy you didn’t like that is traditionally handed out on Halloween.
And apples? Fuck that guy. Idiot didn’t even know apples aren’t candy.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I hate people who think apples and raisins are Halloween candy.

I think your commentary, policing the thread police, ruin it more for everyone. but thanks for doing what you do.
this. they taste like what I imagine moth balls would taste like.
and obviously candy corns are second worst.

lol, hey I can't comment on what your mind jumps to when you misread written words. Freud probably has an opinion on it, but I'm a little under qualified (though it's never stopped me before).
” There is also debate about the most appropriate or “proper” way to eat candy corn. Some insist that the white tip of the piece of candy should be eaten first, others say that the thicker yellow end should be eaten first, and some also suggest that candy corn should be eaten whole.”
Worst: Lots out there -- but for symmetry I'm going with ... Raisinets
Best: Why not just go with the conventional Peanut M&M's you ask ? -- because I don't give a s___ if it melts in my hand -- I work the punch-out hole on the side of the Goobers box.
Worst: How can you say Raisinets are worst if they're so close to being a Goober ? Precisely. As soon as you realize it's a Raisinet you are devastated.
What about the people who didnt even give out candy?
We had a guy at the end of my street who would give us pennies and "magic walnuts". Thats a walnut-in the shell-with googily eyes glued on it. I have no idea why he did it or why we went back year after year. I used to think about him gluing eyes on dozens of walnuts and feel really sad. I think I had a strange childhood...
But the best are Reese's Pieces and thats a quantifiable fact.

I always thought I despised malt because of how terrible Whoppers are. My wife recently ordered a malted chocolate shake and after recoiling in protest, I finally relented to a sip. It was a delicious!
Not only are Whoppers terrible, but they make you think malt is terrible.

I generally like your posts, pj. This seems a little out of character.
I'll take a snickers and my least favorite Halloween candy...
pennies.

How say thee?
Candy corn should be illegal.
Best:
Reeses
Wachamacallits
Sour gummy candies
Snickers

I was going to say the same thing to you. Bad day? Salty about another Giants loss? All understandable.

No, it definitely did not need that. But thanks for stepping in and doing it anyway, and then having no sense of humor about it.

There seem to be a lot of people on this board having bad Mondays lately. All good.

This was a damned funny post.
Yeah, those are certainly on the Mount Rushmore of worst.
Do you like to eat ear wax too? Liking candy corn almost disqualifies you for being human. Almost.

An all time classic imo.

lol

Yep, I think 100 Grand and Baby Ruths are totally underrated.
Also have always really liked Milky Way Dark.
What's truly offensive about those is that they resemble ordinary salt water taffy, which is awesome. They're a candy Trojan Horse.

lol!
The worst? Too may to consider.
From a bygone era, but still great, are 3 Musketeers bars.
Nothing but 2 types of chocolate; what can go wrong (aside from heat)?
Worst is the Mary Jane bar. It is akin to eating plasticized peanuts that stick to your teeth and coat your intestines...
I guess I'm weird then...I'm a fan.
Worst: Smarties, Sprees, Milk Duds, Tootsie Rolls (or Tootsie Roll pops)
Yep they are there.
Best - Baby Ruth
Worst - Indian Corn...
These are a bit before my time...
