Both Tony D and Georgiev signed two year deals today, avoiding arbitration. Georgiev for 2.45 mill AAV and Tony D 4.8 mill AAV. Tony D came in a bit lower than expected and Georgiev a bit higher. All in all, a good day for the Rangers...locking up these two guys on very manageable deals for the next 2 years.
That only leaves Strome and Lemieux still with arbitration dates. Lemieux will sign, his isn't very complicated will be for less than 2 mill AAV. Strome is the interesting one.
Agreed but it took a long time to get here again.
That's also why they let Fast go even for only 2 mill AAV over three years...which is a pretty darn good contract for a guy of his value. That's also why they traded Staal and attached a 2nd rounder to get his 5.7 mill off the books. Imagine where they'd be if they still had Staal on the books.
