Has anyone else watched the first 2 episodes on Showtime for this series? I thought it was really interesting, it gives a great look at the The Comedy Store's history and the history of stand-up comedy in general. Just a really deep cast including a ton of comedy legends, talking about their experiences at The Store and coming up in their respective era.
I had seen Freddie Prinze on old roasts but wasn't very familiar with his story, just seems like the classic case of becoming too famous at too young an age. That's one of the stories that really stood out to me in the 1st episode. There's a lot of other interesting stories too.

Comedy Store is fascinating. I went through a heavy WTF with Marc Maron podcast phase, and the way he (and all other comics on the show) would talk with reverence about Mitsy Shore and the Comedy Store gives that feeling where you wish you could be present at a specific place during a specific time.
