Once I start watching I ALWAYS want them to win but Chase Young would have looked great in blue. I would hate to lose out on Lawrence with a meaningless victory over Washington.
That said, if Thomas were to have a good showing against Young and gain confidence and Jones has a big day that would be great. Is what it is.
How true we don’t even have young guys to replace these guys who bring nothing to the teams future. The game has changed the physicality part almost seems nonexistent the last big hit was Tate and Ramsey damn and it wasn’t even about football.
But saying "If Joe Judge is survive and thrive as head coach of the New York Giants, he has to start winning games" seems unfair, even if it's just a manner of speaking generally about the Giants. Winning or losing is done on the field by the players, not by him, of course. Can these players win at all? It's less than clear that they can.

One addition to the Giants' injury report: DB Adrian Colbert (shoulder) has been listed as questionable for Sunday. He practiced fully today.
coaches are down on Julian Love (too early to tell, but he clearly received less snaps last week), then think about how bad the 2019 Draft ended up being with respect to taking those three defensive backs.
over the last two-three years have been difference-makers or even solid players.
I'm admittedly in a negative funk about the Giants, but it seems, remarkably, that Gettleman has done even worse than Reese in building through the draft.
Makes one wonder what the hell is going on with the decision-making in the front office. We all thought Ross was the problem, along with an out-of-touch, hands-off Reese. Those two guys are long gone and things look no better- arguably worse.

Maybe they need to start looking at scouts. They’re the ones that put all the long hours in watching and grading players for the front office to make decisions on.

Yup.
Baker gone.
Love benched.
Ballentine benched.
If Slayton can't go, we essentially have no passing game. The WFT will bracket Engram all day. The Giants will have to bring up a WR from the PS.
Both offenses are moribund. Both teams are decent at stopping the run, but the WFT have actual pass rushers in Young, Sweat, and Kerrigan. They could easily cause a lot of problems for Thomas and Fleming, especially if Jones has to hold the ball because his receivers can't separate. I also expect the WFT to play a lot of cover 2 since we can't run, which will making throwing even harder.
I still think the Giants will win, but I agree it will likely be low scoring. Points will be precious. Not committing any turnovers will be the key to winning.

Surprised it’s not his head.
D. Jones will fumble again and the Giants' OL will be torn apart by a
vastly superior opposing DL---arguably the best they'll face all year. This is a referendum game for DJ. If he fumbles and turns it over again like a hot potato, then you shouldn't feel bad about replacing him in the draft with Trevor Lawrence, should the Giants be fortunate enough to be in a position to draft. That's right. I said it. Fortunate. Losing is what we have to look forward to----it's the only way the Giants will get out of this mess.
There is talk about being in position to draft Trevor Lawrence. If this team is in the position to draft Trevor Lawrence after years of top picks. Mara and Tisch better completely blow up the football operations side of the franchise. I'm done with rooting for a high draft pick.
Get the freaking O-line together and win some damn games at this point. I don't want a new coach or new QB. I want THESE guys to succeed.
Definitely not a question of whether or not Daniel Jones
But if this is another case of a meaningless, temporary feel-good win against a bad Washington team followed by loss-loss-loss-loss, then it won’t mean much.
Outside of that the Thomas young battle should be an interesting watch.
Personally I think we lose on the back of a massive game by Landon Collins. Guy was born for big revenge games.

hmmmmm....yes. I wonder what the common denominator is....
noted Collins got isolated in coverage and beat like a red headed stepchild last week. Said to Ranaan something like: "you Giants fans know all about Collins' weakness in deep coverage."
I assume the 3 DB's you are referencing are Baker/Love/Ballantine. You also have to figure that they gave up a 3rd in the supplemental for Beal also.
To be fair, Love has gotten demoted but he did look pretty good last year, it may be a matter of giving him time. Ballantine still may have a future too and I think we've written off Beal but the guy does have skills - maybe he takes this year to toughen up this body but ... right now, we used a :
I'll post the transcript soon.
That makes two of us.

If Slayton can't go, they will have to bring up Bachman, Victor, or Dillon. We can't go with three WRs.

Rather, how many times he does so.

They faced Landon Collins twice last season and he struggled in both games.
