it's going to be a real fight, not a pillow fight. We know that Roy's ego won't allow him to be embarrassed if he can possibly avoid it. Tyson's training like he's ready to fight Thanos.
I have no idea what to make of this. Pretty much any outcome is on the table, but I think the odds definitely favor it being a fairly disappointing affair. Now we're hearing that the rounds will only be two minutes each. That's probably to Tyson's advantage. If I'm Roy, I try to drag Tyson into deep water and hope he tires, and now there might not be enough time to do that.
I highly suggest listening to the Joe Rogan interviews. Both fighters taking this very seriously. Tyson talks about quitting boxing because of the obsession you need to be competitive. He said he didn’t even want to workout because it would creep back in.
And here we are, he’s training like an animal again.
Dudes jaw is shot
Sure mike looks great but does he have anything in his legs for more than a round or 2?
If they fought in a 10 ft ring , would be great for him. Even if he was fight joshua or fury.
Not have the legs to move in and out is what usually goes first
Tysonnhad no legs 3 rds into Lewis fight
I guess I don't know boxing after 38yrs ....old Bronxy is the expert....OBTW how do you score on a ten must system.. fighter A scoring 3 knockdowns on fighter B in the 1st round?
A. fighter B loses the fight after the 3rd knockdown
B. round scored 10-9
C. round scored 10-8
D. none of the above
Dont care if you coached for 100 years. The fight is a freak show for idiots who want to waste some money. By the way I have a friend who coached boxing longer than you who laughs at the fight.
While I'm actually pretty excited at about it - one thing kind
of gives me the creeps about wathching is a couple 50 somethings taking headblows? Like at what age does that issue extrapolate? Like if one of those guys take a wicked shot are they going to have potatoes for brains the rest of their lives? Tyson is still strong as an ox, strength is the last thing to go age wise.
but the majority of the money (I read upwards of the entire purse) is going to charity, first and foremost, so this isn’t a money grab. Second, I think it’s pretty cool that they are doing a legends league - this won’t be the only thing we see like it.
Dont care if it’s not “boxing”. Both fighters are taking it seriously and are giving the money to a good cause. It should be applauded.
You coached boxing and you give me a phony set up question? 3 knockdowns without saying where the fight is and under what organization is a joke like the fight. 8 two minute rounds for fifty year olds, yes real exciting. Fifty bucks what a ripoff.
charity I commend that. The fight itself is a joke. Boxing is not for older men. Look at greats like Hopkins and Holyfield who made jokes of themselves fighting too long.
