Told that safety Adrian Colbert, who injured his shoulder in Friday’s practice, will be a game-time decision. If Colbert can’t go, Julian Love will reclaim the No. 3 safety job.

It looks like Giants inactives will be TE Eric Tomlinson, OL Jackson Barton, DL RJ McIntosh and LB TJ Brunson. That leaves Giants with 48 active players, which seems like good news for the three questionable players: WR Darius Slayton, DL Dexter Lawrence and S Adrian Colbert.

I'm also going to go ahead and predict Lorenzo Carter will be inactive. Carter underwent season-ending Achilles surgery on Wednesday yet hasn't been put on IR yet (and wasn't listed on the injury report all week).
Ya'll ready to lose the Lawrence sweepstakes today?
I can't believe how non interested I am in todays game. Now beat the Eagles next week and my excitement will come back. But I'm barely have interest in this game outside of putting the Giants in a teaser +5. Figure this is a 3-4 pt game either way. Unless they blow they doors off them, pretty sure I'll just chalk this up to a meaningless win on the way to a loss by the Eagles.
clearly winnable game vs a division rival. Plus we have a stretch of games that we can win and hopefully build on some of the things we have been getting better at. We have a young team, with I believe some talent, we need confidence
RE: Ya'll ready to lose the Lawrence sweepstakes today?
It's going to be bad football between two bad, bad teams. The only ? is...who sucks less? & even if we do win, we'll get out asses kicked on Thursday because that's what happens when we play Philly so you couldn't even celebrate a week coming off a win.
key will be our OL against their DL, which is quite formidable. Unless we can run the ball, Jones will be throwing against a cover 2 for much of the day.
Wow. But the right decision. If you're not doing your job, you will be replaced, no matter where you are drafted.
I know some of you may not think much of this, but in prior years no coach would have benched the first round pick. I like that Judge will make this decision.
You know its a team game right ? His OL needs to give him some time to throw and simultaneously his receivers need to get open. He cant throw to himself
If you watch closely. DJ held the ball above the waist and with 2 hands. Nice to see the adjustment. His usual mechanics of holding the ball very low are fumbles and long windup resulting in throws behind his receivers. Hope this adjustment is permanent.
pick by Bradberry, but that looked like another miscommunication between Allen and his WR. Bradberry looked surprised the ball was thrown. Now get a TD.
then Thomas should be at RT. The one player on the OL who has stood out by far as the worst is Fleming. So why bench a rookie, who needs reps and experience, in favor of a terrible vet?

This especially with Fleming who there is no big financial investment in and is a FA after the season.
against Washington to help set the franchise back another 10 years.
Go tell Judge and his coaches they're making a mistake trying to win a game.
Do you really read your posts?
Of course the staff and players want to win. As a fan though, what does winning this game do for US? You gonna feel better about a 1-15 or 2-14 year? Owning Washington the last few years has really gotten this organization very far. Lot of "fun wins" against Wash!
You run through them like nothing, but they are something, but wait they are all over the QB's, especially when you need a stop, boy the cream rises then.
Who is that on? Crowder? Peppers? Martinez? They’ve found an area in our D they can exploit. They are also running better then they should be able to?!
It’s early in his career, but I’m not seeing this absolute monster domination by Chase Young. He plays like a 6-8 sacks a year guy. Nothing that jumps off the screen and scares me. He has a stacked defensive line and isn’t destroying the 1 on 1s
I mean, Washington isn't all that and QB Allen is struggling but the Giants are executing well today.
Peart looked good at LT. I saw Thomas out there for the long Jones 49 yd run (awesome!!) and he blocked well for that play.
Its still early but it looks like I was wrong about today! I mean, I am a Giants fan so I want wins but last week's loss (the refs cost us that game) really deflated me.
then there are problems with this Org and owner that extend beyond anything anyone of us could ever comprehend.
you mean maybe beyond what YOU can comprehend. We have known that ownership has been the problem for a while. It has been beaten to death already... yes expect DG to be here after this horrible season. So, do you still want to lose the rest of the games?

No, I know the owner is a dope, but I'd like to believe even he can see that Gettleman has to go. Expecting Gettleman to be here next year is a frightening prospect for everyone here.
Coverage sucked. We are so inconsistent on D. We’ve still got a long way to go as a D.
I can't agree more. We don't have a true ER; we don't have a real #2 CB; and, we aren't good at safety as Love hasn't developed; Peppers is always hurt & McKinney is on IR until after the bye week. It hurts.
Is really not fun to watch series after series. I guess it is working since it’s allowed 3 points in 29 minutes. But it’s very frustrating.
Bend but don’t break Defense. Trading yardage for time. Make them drive the field. This is the time to use it however. I normally don’t like it. Keep them out of the EZ.

Yeh let’s blitz and let them murder our 2nd CB all game. That’s the spirit. Honestly we are getting pressure with 3 right now. Almost like watching what other teams do to the giants. Refreshing
Teams in football are in this division, and we are the worst of them. We are not only making no progress but are regressing, as pathetic as we have been we are getting worse.
Ruhle is just a little too expensive for us, very unfortunate, had he beenfool enough to not get every penny he could get it is possible Msgic maker Mara would have pulled te trigger.

DG needed to improve was the OL and the pass rush . Right now not only did he not fix them, but they are as bad or worse then before he came back . What an utter failure
Right now this is reminding me a lot of that bears game in 2006
Giants leading rex Grossman and the bears 13-3 in the rain. Coughlin calls timeout on 3rd and forever to try and get more. Bears pull off a 30 yd draw play, get a td then blow them out in the 2nd half.
...If you are the Skins why would you not go for it on 3rd or 4th down....They just can't make a play when it counts
^This. We've had a couple of sacks, but one was because Williams was completely unblocked. For the most part, we aren't getting any pressure. Aside from Ryan's sack, I haven't seen many blitzes. We've also given up a fair amount of yards on the ground.
On offense, we can't run, Jones's gallop notwithstanding.

That is because Gettleman is better at getting rid of talent than getting it. To him, a team is simply 53 units.
Giving up yards unnecessarily. I can see trying it once or twice, but they didn’t kick it deep once.
Anyway, D not playing very well. Extremely inconsistent. Offense can’t get out of their own way, unless DJ is running it. This team is so frustrating. Eagles will crush this team on Thurs!
RE: They should have went for it on that 4th and goal from the 2 yard line
has just been more consistent moving the ball and sustaining drives. Have to think that will be important in the second half. It could easily wear out our D.

What? Unless I’ve missed something, they’ve gotten to the 30 a couple times and once to 15. That’s a wash, not to mention if you have faith in your kickoff team the kickoff return fumble is a giant indicator of a loss to the tune of 90 percent. I swear the shit people complain about here

The prospect of Kyle Allen wearing out the Giants defense is really sad.
any good. To have your 5-11 safety one on one vs a 6-6 TE is NOT putting your player in a position to succeed. That one is on Graham.
That throw was as good as it gets. Your right it’s on Graham, but you can’t have everyone schemed up perfect on every play. Plus outside of Logan Ryan who is a plus against TEs in coverage on this team?
work with . Hes running for 1st downs, leading the team in rushing, that was a perfect pass dropped by board , and outside of Slayton he has nobody else to throw the ball to .
Is Tate playing today ? I would seriously cut the guy and give one of the undrafted rookies a chance over him at this point

At least OBJ is gone! It is not about winning, just good culture.

We really could have used OBJs 1 reception for 12 yards today. And his 1 good game in 1.5 years with CLE are making us look really dumb

Odd time to bring that up.
Really? This team has Slayton, and that is it. Tate and Shepard are okay. No talent.
Yeh lets go for it all the time with no playmakers on offense, inconsistent push in run game, in a low scoring field position game. Brilliant! Need to bring back the Guinness guys
don't think Thomas not starting was disciplinary. They had already put Peart in for Fleming. They want to get him some more reps, and Thomas has not been playing well.

You have to take each decision independently. They were at the 38 yard line and they punted to give the ball to Washington at the 18 yard line so they gave up a 4th down for 20 yards. Yeah i would go for it on 4th down every time in that situation
It is hard to distinguish this team from last year’s team. Only the jersey numbers differ.
👍
Shurmur like offense? What team are you watching? The same one you are. No points, crap defense.
Last year's offense was a lot better than this. A lot. They averaged 22 PPG and scored the second highest total a Giants team had scored since 2015: 341
They currently have 94 points through 6 games. Its fucking awful.
Thomas’s future won’t be written this year, but let’s not pretend we collectively wouldn’t be excited if he was playing really well, and believed that would be an indication of things to come.
Thomas playing like shit isn’t a good or ignorable factor. As he stands today, he’s not very good. And that’s worse than being good.
Agree. LOL ALWAYS at a critical time. Call it what you want. He has bad luck? ALWAYS the biggest mistakes during critical times. He is NOT a franchise qb.
He tried to do the right thing and throw it away. Just didn't put enough under it. He hasn't played a bad game but it is so obvious that he has a true lack of skill players around him.
Instead of asking the refs to make a judgement on a specific play (in this case, in or out) they have to decide whether it was "enough" to overturn the call.
Everyone is going to have a different opinion on what "enough" is.

DG picked him up as a replacement for OBJ when he traded him IIRC. What a joke. He played a little better last year. He’s just worthless this year and we’d be better off with a guy like Bachman in there.
instead of taking a sack and losing 10 yards because Kaden smith completely whiffed on his block . It wasnt a bad decision to throw it away , just poor execution for not getting enough air under it .
He literally has to be perfect because he has nothing around him on offense. The guy is in such a shitty situation
At what point does this coaching staff tire from Jones awful tour overs that cost us points ? They bench everyone else , which I like. They hold players accountable for their poor play, ie. Andrew Thomas.
We take too many dumb penalties over the last few weeks on criticslndown and our offensive playbook is literally horrendous. This is not an overreaction we are in week 6

Stop with the excuses. He has to throw it out of bounds there. You don't allow the refs to make the judgement call at that point.
It's becoming clear that Jones could mutilate a puppy on the field and the would be posters here defending him.
Just curious. How do you think Trevor Lawrence would do today with this offense around him ? no running game, a gimpy Slayton,a washed up Tate, a Bust in Engram, Board OUT, and a practice squad player Mack replacing him ?
Im not excusing Jones on that INT it was a bad throw , but the people who just want to bash him and not see how bad this team is around him are just as bad as the " posters here defending him "

We just needed him to throw it away properly. That's 100% on him.
this is one of the 5 worst teams on the league. There just aren’t many winning type players on this roster. Never thought I would go through 64-80 again!!

Terps is the kind of guy that wears Sambas to soccer games he attends as a fan.
or Sy was right on the money, when his scouting said Jones is mentally slow to process what he sees. He missed too much, and takes too long to make a decision. That swing pass is a perfect example. Took too long to come to it and almost got Freeman killed.
I’m starting to wonder if it’s his scheme. It doesn’t appear to fit what these players do well and so is it all talk that they would adjust the scheme to what the players do well? It’s a constant struggle on offense. Every drive looks like a struggle to get anything going. Could Lawrence do any better? Perhaps he wouldn’t turn it over as much, but would he do any better with this offense?
I have seen enough of Peart to know he is better at LT

19 passes to get to 112 yards...but we've been told YPA doesn't matter.
Even without the crippling interception, Jones has been pathetic today.
Yeah it is all dink and dunk, remember the TC Gilbride O with Eli that brought two titles.
Haymaker shots down the field and consistent pushing of the ball downfield through the air. Those days are over.
I know they had better personnel.
You have to be able to throw the ball downfield and in the intermediate range consistently in this league to have a shot to win. The Giants haven’t done that this year, likely to protect Jones to some extent. But boy, it doesn’t look good.
They will run clock now and kick a game winning FG like Dallas
in just the 6th game where we still have a real shot (even with this bad team) to win the division should just tell you about what kind of fans we have here.
You people are bigger losers than this Giants team.

A bunch of miserable fucks honestly. If they beat Eagles next week all of a sudden we may be favorite to win division sadly depending on how Dalass looks like with the red rocket.
I've been saying it for a while our defense is pretty good, just been put in impossible spots because our offense is inept and turning ball over.

My question is, do you really truly believe the Giants have a chance to win the division, at 1-5? I guess anything is possible, the defense has been competent, but points have been tough to come by. I truly thought the Giants would put up 30 points on offense, I’m shocked it was such a struggle.
If a new GM decides they need Lawrence, my expectation is they will do whatever is necessary to get him. (Multiple #1s, etc). They have to start thinking about benching Jones. He’s just not effective, no excuses

There were people here in 2011 saying it would be better to lose down the stretch for a better draft pick. Nothing surprises me after that.
score an incredible TD, and the "Debbie Downers" and "Negative Nancy's" complain that it will prevent us from getting Lawrence.
That’s correct and some of you unrealistic fans love seeing 1 or 2 meaningless wins that negatively impactS the team Long term. Jones is not the answer.
Is this a serious post? The Giants have been getting pretty solid pressure with 3. I swear to God some fans want defenses to pitch shut outs in the modern NFL, maybe it's just all the old fucks here.

You can only trade for a QB if the team with the first overall pick doesn't need a QB. Odds of that are going to be zero this year.

Let me follow this line of logic, what exactly do you think can happen if this team 'wins' a division of bad QBs and gets a top-seeded opponent?
If a new GM decides they need Lawrence, my expectation is they will do whatever is necessary to get him. (Multiple #1s, etc). They have to start thinking about benching Jones. He’s just not effective, no excuses
The team with the #1 pick is NOT going to trade the rights to Lawrence.
That was not a good play call at the LOS for 2 points. Sorry....
Best thing I got out of this game is that K. Allen is not too good a QB. Jones wasn't all that today either but that turnover should have been over-turned.
play by the defense, but that was a terrible decision by Rivera. He was 1-4 in a terrible division. A tie gets him to OT, and even if it ends that way, he's still very much in contention.
Totally meaningless, pointless win that will come back to end up haunting us come draft time when we miss the #1 overall pick and best QB prospect of the decade

Yep and we learned nothing about Jones since the defense bailed him out.

Sure but it's week 6. If you're just playing to lose all 16 games, why bother rooting for the team at all. In week 14 or 15, yeah, I'll agree with you. Not in October.
Peppers is the dumbest player and biggest clown on this team. If he was cut tomorrow it would be a blessing. Doing a flip after the defense let the Redskins go all the way down the field for a touchdown and yet another game where he doesn't do anything.
This win is the worst win for this franchise in a long time. Hope everyone here enjoys the Jets getting Lawrence while we're stuck in mud for another 5 years.
It would be one thing to win while looking good and playing a good ball game. This was just a game of two awful franchises going at it. Giants looked like dogshit and won, zero positives to take away from this.
I know it's not the official clock anyway, so it's a moot point, but sometimes I wish the tv clock went into negatives. I swear we would have seen -1 clearly when that td ball was snapped.
Such losers on this site giving up on this team. .

It is pretty obvious you have never competed at anything in your life. This win is garbage for us fans. For an athlete out there competing and winning for the first time in fucking forever it feels like winning the Super Bowl.
What a completely ignorant decision with that QB he has.
You serious? They had momentum and the argument can be made that for the most part we outplayed them today. I can totally see why he went for it. Kyle Allen isn't some scrub and is actually pretty accurate. Problem is his arm strength and random turnovers with him. I thought they were going to get it.

I would've ben shot if they got it. That Qb for Wash sucks.
He called it. Two bad football teams where 1 will win ugly and no one will be happy about it.
Honestly hoping really bad we beat Eagles now just because of how miserable some people are after a win. Next we will be a nice barometer check. Two division games in a row that came down to the last play. Hopefully we can blow the doors of the Eagles, with what offense I'm not sure, but hey fuck Philly.

I agree BlueHurricane. If you have played sports at any level, when you are on a bad team, you get used to losing and it becomes accepted. When you get a win, it does something to you where you dont just accept losing as an option.
Thos team as been in every game except one and they are talent deficient. There ARE pieces on this team like Holmes, Bradberry, Martinez, Tomlinson, Lawrence. You can build from this. We fought a horrific call and won the damn thing.
Enjoy the meaningless wins in an 1-6 season. Just like the meaningless wins in a 5-11 season and the meaningless wins in a 4-12 season. Nothing's wrong cause they won.
He called it. Two bad football teams where 1 will win ugly and no one will be happy about it.
Me and few others called it these last few days. The Washington QB is bad and his play would decide the game. It did. To the turnovers, to the stalling of drives, - he was the main force that hurt his team.
In the 1st half they are driving and he gets called for motion. The turnovers he made. In the 1st half not only do they have a pretty wide open guy at midfield in which he throws the ball in the dirt- they show in replay that Martinez got smoked down the sideline and with little pressure Allen didn't see him. Instead throws the ball in the dirt.
The last play he didn't even give his team a chance.
What a completely ignorant decision with that QB he has.

Time of possesion is such an outdate stat. Our woes came to the face we couldn't score in the redzone, some really questionable 50/50 calls, and a few bad timed penalties. This win was deserved as they say in soccer. Teams complete a lot more 2 point conversion when they score at end of games to tie or win because of that "mythical momentum".
and plays today. Rivera trusts him and its why he brought him with him. He trusts him more than Alex Smith at this point and why he started today.
You're acting like he is Joe Montana because he made a few good throws.
Even Joe Pisarcik won a few games and made a few good throws.
Yes -- he did trust Allen more than Smith. SO it either tells you how far SMith has fallen or how bad Rivera is -- or - in the back of our minds something worse-.
And because Rivera went for it-- I'm leaning towards he's slipping. That move was beyond dumb.

You're only saying it is outdated and adding your subjective opinion that TH GMen outplayed him to justify your POV.
When you get dug in-- you tend to over exaggerate immensely.
Time losing out has benefitted a franchise aside from maybe the Colts when they were pushing for Luck? How did Young look out there? He wasnt Julius Peppers or Demarcus Ware to be sure.

Terrble awful comp. The Colts were going into a season where Peyton was not onoy hurt, but career in jeopardy. Plus they had a competent roster in place. Then its an easy decision.
Just a stupid challenge.

Terrble awful comp. The Colts were going into a season where Peyton was not onoy hurt, but career in jeopardy. Plus they had a competent roster in place. Then its an easy decision.
Just a stupid challenge.
Terrible awful excuse you are making.
Lawrence thought to be near as great s Luck. Not bashing DJones but Lawrence considered ot be a much better QB. How is it that a much better Qb wouldn't make this team better?
Told that safety Adrian Colbert, who injured his shoulder in Friday’s practice, will be a game-time decision. If Colbert can’t go, Julian Love will reclaim the No. 3 safety job.
I know what it is... what's the sound of one hand clapping?

It looks like Giants inactives will be TE Eric Tomlinson, OL Jackson Barton, DL RJ McIntosh and LB TJ Brunson. That leaves Giants with 48 active players, which seems like good news for the three questionable players: WR Darius Slayton, DL Dexter Lawrence and S Adrian Colbert.

I'm also going to go ahead and predict Lorenzo Carter will be inactive. Carter underwent season-ending Achilles surgery on Wednesday yet hasn't been put on IR yet (and wasn't listed on the injury report all week).
Mark it.
I don't mind losing the sweepstakes provided the Jets or Washington doesn't win it. Otherwise I would be mighty depressed.
@Dan_Salomone
Giants Inactive List:
FS Adrian Colbert
ILB TJ Brunson
OT Jackson Barton
TE Eric Tomlinson
DE RJ McIntosh
OLB Lorenzo Carter
QB Dwayne Haskins
DE Nate Orchard
OLB Thomas Davis
G Joshua Garnett
OT David Sharpe
TE Marcus Baugh
Now that you mention it...
- Slayton goes off for 100+, 2TD
- We win the turnover battle +3
- win by 10 points
Let's Go Giants!!!!!
GO GIANTS!

Turns out we took a guard at 4.

Apparently not.
That reverse took too long to develop.
Peart can’t be much worse than Thomas, can he?
They want to see if Peart can play LT. that’s what this is all about.
He needs to go back to the bench as a swing tackle. Thomas needs reps and Peart should be starting at RT.

He'll slide over to replace Will Hernandez. Peart-Thomas could be a good combo.

Says who? All I've heard is that Thomas doesn't have the strength to play inside.
They probably don't want to start both rookies at tackle, especially with Gates at center.

I totally agree with this and have said this for weeks as well. He needs to take off when there’s nobody open or protection breaks down.
You know its a team game right ? His OL needs to give him some time to throw and simultaneously his receivers need to get open. He cant throw to himself

Exactly. No clue why they keep getting cute. Blast the ball thru the endzone

He’s been a very nice surprise this year, along with Martinez, Fackrell and Gano.
Get Fleming off the field.
Freeman is looking better than I expected.
no they don't need to win
This didn't age well.
This especially with Fleming who there is no big financial investment in and is a FA after the season.
I saw that too. I smart move by Getts to let him go.
You were saying? Idiot
Get Fleming off the field.

They still need to work Thomas in IMO. He needs reps. #4 pick in the entire draft, has talent, but needs reps against top rushers.
Kaden Smith burned him for the GW TD last year.
Gotta love it.

That was ridiculous! How the F do you give up that many yards to get them back into FG range?
That is always part of the decision making during the off season and why we did not re-sign some players in the past. Simply not worth it.
I mention that because I constantly see people freaking out about "the talent we let go".

Peart looked good at LT. I saw Thomas out there for the long Jones 49 yd run (awesome!!) and he blocked well for that play.

If he's still the GM after this year, then there are problems with this Org and owner that extend beyond anything anyone of us could ever comprehend.

No, I know the owner is a dope, but I'd like to believe even he can see that Gettleman has to go. Expecting Gettleman to be here next year is a frightening prospect for everyone here.
Coverage sucked. We are so inconsistent on D. We’ve still got a long way to go as a D.

Yep. Classic Giants this game.

Incredible play.
Just slow to react and slow to move. They did say he was too slow to play corner.
When will this team stop playing stupid. 4 coaches and same stupid mistakes.
This defense has a few good parts and a lot of "average" to "well below average" parts....
Bend but don’t break Defense. Trading yardage for time. Make them drive the field. This is the time to use it however. I normally don’t like it. Keep them out of the EZ.

Can you try speaking English?
Or was it Henderson’s call?! Either way I don’t think we had anybody that tall, unless we had a LBer cover
I still don't understand the short KOs.
That is because Gettleman is better at getting rid of talent than getting it. To him, a team is simply 53 units.
Anyway, D not playing very well. Extremely inconsistent. Offense can’t get out of their own way, unless DJ is running it. This team is so frustrating. Eagles will crush this team on Thurs!
Can go either way there but going up two scores against that front and no red zone threats was right move.

That throw was as good as it gets. Your right it’s on Graham, but you can’t have everyone schemed up perfect on every play. Plus outside of Logan Ryan who is a plus against TEs in coverage on this team?
Rivera negates a great downed punt at the 1 and goes for it on 4th down. Horrendous coaching move. Pathetically stupid. Giants reward him with a TD.
They are fucking putrid. They are about as bad as it gets.

You have to take each decision independently. They were at the 38 yard line and they punted to give the ball to Washington at the 18 yard line so they gave up a 4th down for 20 yards. Yeah i would go for it on 4th down every time in that situation

Don't think the Giants would start Pert JUST to get reps.
Jones has Slayton and nothing at WR.
He has nothing at TE either. Engram is a huge BUST
Thomas playing like shit isn’t a good or ignorable factor. As he stands today, he’s not very good. And that’s worse than being good.
Giants do this almost every game. Are they late getting plays in?
Yes.
Tate is washed.
Don't worry. We still got Tate!
My guess is the Giants will now try and shorten the game with a lot of runs. They problem is that's what Washington will expect them to do.
Throw short passes to Smith. Use them as runs to move the chains. Get Mack involved.
Tate is grate. Lol.
Hard to tell much about Jones some time because there are just zero playmakers.
Is engram even playing?
Love his guts tho!
I think his elbow may have landed out tho.
Watch Washington drive for a TD and take the lead now. Just a bad turnover. Inexcusable .... almost .... as yet again he was under duress.
I thought he was out too.
Agree. LOL ALWAYS at a critical time. Call it what you want. He has bad luck? ALWAYS the biggest mistakes during critical times. He is NOT a franchise qb.
Lol. I’m tapping out.
Again, terrible play under pressure.
What was wrong with throwing the ball away?
It's easy because that was a beyond moronic throw.
Because his elbow hit first...out of bounds

time for Washington to drive right down the field and take the lead
If Jones made the correct play, there would not have been the need for a review.
And Jones has his warts.
He is not the solution
Why didn’t he have enough arm power to completely throw out and not give any chance of a call?
Lol yeah recklessly throwing up the ball in the endzone when you average is .7 touchdowns a game as a QB. Correct play.
No
He is mobile and he sucks throwing in pressure situations but we do not do rolls outs or move the pocket. It makes no sense.
Instead of asking the refs to make a judgement on a specific play (in this case, in or out) they have to decide whether it was "enough" to overturn the call.
Everyone is going to have a different opinion on what "enough" is.

Easier said than done when it’s been a Sunday tradition for 30+ years fucko
Then stop complaining lol
Instant classic!
There are so many players on this team getting regular burn that literally cannot do anything right.
took a shot too

It's becoming clear that Jones could mutilate a puppy on the field and the would be posters here defending him.
Just curious. How do you think Trevor Lawrence would do today with this offense around him ? no running game, a gimpy Slayton,a washed up Tate, a Bust in Engram, Board OUT, and a practice squad player Mack replacing him ?
Im not excusing Jones on that INT it was a bad throw , but the people who just want to bash him and not see how bad this team is around him are just as bad as the " posters here defending him "
Terps is the kind of guy that wears Sambas to soccer games he attends as a fan.
Because he’s not good and the league has tape on him.
I'm OK with him bringing it out. It gave us a chance for an explosive play.
That has been the story of the whole season
No OL NO QB NO WR
Because he's running for his life, constantly?

Wrong
19 passes to get to 112 yards...but we've been told YPA doesn't matter.
Even without the crippling interception, Jones has been pathetic today.

I want better QB play.

Who said YPA doesn't matter? I think the argument was that it isn't the end of all debates
Silver lining
Also, the offense isn't seeing the ball again today.
I think the giants, we have a weaker schedule

Yeah it is all dink and dunk, remember the TC Gilbride O with Eli that brought two titles.
Haymaker shots down the field and consistent pushing of the ball downfield through the air. Those days are over.
I know they had better personnel.
At least two sack fumbles in that game
Can they hold them to a 3 and out and give Jones a shot to drive for points?
I think its strength of schedule. Whoever went winless against the weaker schedule.
Valid point

Youre so fucking dense. Who does he have to throw to? A hobbled Slayton, Evan "I cant get open" Engram and Golden Tate's corpse.
Why dont you go into hiding again?
The Giants do, they have the strength of schedule advantage over ALL winless teams.

You have to be able to throw the ball downfield and in the intermediate range consistently in this league to have a shot to win. The Giants haven’t done that this year, likely to protect Jones to some extent. But boy, it doesn’t look good.

Seriously, he’s such a miserable bitch.
Judge is proud of his special teams
You just cannot argue with this...
John Mara is just a horrible team owner. He is the guy I want maybe to run an animal shelter... not a professional football team.
At this point I dont care if we are a "classy organization". Can we just be viewed as a bunch of assholes who win instead?
Keeping Gettleman and making a coaching hire set them back another several years.
.
Also, the offense isn't seeing the ball again today.
So we are not going to factor in the supporting cast around them ? Just them as if they are playing 1 on 1 ?
But he can pickup fumbles
Well fuck me I didn’t see that coming
But he can score TD’s!!!
Timely.
...but he can score touchdowns
Great plays by Fackrell and Crowder.
Keeping Gettleman and making a coaching hire set them back another several years.
Insert foot in mouth. Washington might be worse.
How sad.
lets get this D up to mediocre baby. That is progress
Great play!
I think we threw a Washington jersey on Jones. Somebody's going to find Allen unconscious behind a bench in a minute.

I was cheering in my living room. I want a win. Maybe, perish the thought, a win Thursday too, a division win streak and a season beyond Halloween.

If the D doesn't get a stop here, that TD was wasted.

Minus the QB play, this team has played scrappy.
I want the team to be fucking great. I don’t give a shit about winning the NFC East at 5-11 and getting stomped out by Seattle or whoever.
0-16, Gettleman out, Jones out, Lawrence in, brighter days ahead. That’s what I want.
Go Washington.
I know 5 guys that might not be able to do it. =/
You people are bigger losers than this Giants team.
My question is, do you really truly believe the Giants have a chance to win the division, at 1-5? I guess anything is possible, the defense has been competent, but points have been tough to come by. I truly thought the Giants would put up 30 points on offense, I’m shocked it was such a struggle.
Agreed.

Believe me there are a few of us that still want to win and I don't care how.
Anyways - a W is a W. Giants should win this baby.

There were people here in 2011 saying it would be better to lose down the stretch for a better draft pick. Nothing surprises me after that.

Yes.. it is the same asshole losers who were wanting us to tank the season to get Chase. He looks like the next LT.. lol
That’s correct and some of you unrealistic fans love seeing 1 or 2 meaningless wins that negatively impactS the team Long term. Jones is not the answer.

Smith? What?

Is this a serious post? The Giants have been getting pretty solid pressure with 3. I swear to God some fans want defenses to pitch shut outs in the modern NFL, maybe it's just all the old fucks here.

This is one awful QB Washington has. Awful is a kind word. Has Smith dropped this badly?

Plenty of time for Washington to drive.
You can only trade for a QB if the team with the first overall pick doesn't need a QB. Odds of that are going to be zero this year.
yeah
but this is it now, D gets stop, Giants win
Plenty of time for Washington to drive.
I don't believe how bad the Giants tackle.

Well the guy we did get didn’t even start today.

Let me follow this line of logic, what exactly do you think can happen if this team 'wins' a division of bad QBs and gets a top-seeded opponent?
The team with the #1 pick is NOT going to trade the rights to Lawrence.
brutal
And TD! Will they kick the XP or go for the 2 point conversion and win?
Guess is 1 pt for tie.
Well the guy we did get didn’t even start today.
point being you do not sacrifice a whole fucking season to MAYBE select someone who MAY help the franchise.
Am I adding you to the list of losers too? The list is getting long.
So... Can we bitch now?...
WHAT A FUCKING IDIOT
Thatw as solid defense on the 2 point conversion attempt though
The Giants still suck.
Best thing I got out of this game is that K. Allen is not too good a QB. Jones wasn't all that today either but that turnover should have been over-turned.
Jones would have been crucified after that 2pt conversion attempt
Unreal just a fucking early xmas gift for big blue
I will take it

Think so.
Because Rivera understands they need to be competitive but lose out for Lawrence. He knows his team stinks.
This is now a tight tight division with the Eagles being blasted today.
Can we win on Thursday night? Perhaps??
Yep and we learned nothing about Jones since the defense bailed him out.

Sure but it's week 6. If you're just playing to lose all 16 games, why bother rooting for the team at all. In week 14 or 15, yeah, I'll agree with you. Not in October.

Jets are getting Lawrence
Starts with the stupid 3-man rush: certain completions.
Agreed. Congratulations coach Judge. Well done.
Giants fucking suck I hate this team.
That’s why he went for 2. Win or get better draft stock.
Wow Washington gave up the game to get the 1st pick in the draft?!?! Lmao... wow..
I know it's not the official clock anyway, so it's a moot point, but sometimes I wish the tv clock went into negatives. I swear we would have seen -1 clearly when that td ball was snapped.

It is pretty obvious you have never competed at anything in your life. This win is garbage for us fans. For an athlete out there competing and winning for the first time in fucking forever it feels like winning the Super Bowl.
You serious? They had momentum and the argument can be made that for the most part we outplayed them today. I can totally see why he went for it. Kyle Allen isn't some scrub and is actually pretty accurate. Problem is his arm strength and random turnovers with him. I thought they were going to get it.
BullSHIT! I'm happy. It's finally good to get a win. I want more.
Giants fucking suck I hate this team.

I give GMNE little to no shot vs Philly. We just played an awful team. A badly coached team. A QB that is about as bad as we'll see.
But got the W.

The game was even. It was even. There is no way you can say "we outplayed them." In the 4th quarter what was time of possession?
I would've ben shot if they got it. That Qb for Wash sucks.
Not exaclty a Nostradamus-quality prediction.

Peppers is the dumbest player and biggest clown on this team. If he was cut tomorrow it would be a blessing. Doing a flip after the defense let the Redskins go all the way down the field for a touchdown and yet another game where he doesn't do anything.

Only a non-competitor roots for losses.

Yep. Smart man. He know his team needs a top flight QB.
