No doubt you'd hope he would be a stud out of the Gates but with OT's that rarely happens. I still think he has a "learning curve" and it may be next season before we see his best. I'm not down on him so long as Peart can play LT at a higher rate.
But this is a very difficult year for developing rookies. No real OTAs or pre-season games. It's not an excuse for the bad performance but it makes it very hard to gauge how he is doing.
I think it's important that Judge isn't going to just live with his bad play, or anyone's bad play for that matter. I like that if you play badly, you're gonna sit. Good.
Peart had the same amount of time to get ready for the season as Thoma
Obviously has been a major disappointment. I think someone said this might turn out like the ‘82 draft when the Giants picked Butch Woolfolk in the first round and Joe Morris in the second round.
Let's not hold the player's accountable. How dare we do that as fans. The coach is holding him accountable but when a fan complains - go after the fan and not the player.
The acceptance of losing here continues ot reach new lows.
For me -- there is no way I am giving up on Thomas - but but but
he was my 3rd preference - but more importantly I have no confidence in our GM - so I am concerned for that. However- this is year 1.
I agree though about Judge. I too like his best players will play approach, just disappointing Thomas isn’t good enough to play.
If the best players play, then how does anyone defend Fleming keeping his starting spot? He's been the worst of the bunch. Hernandez is right behind him, but Lemieux still hasn't taken a snap on the OL.

Yeah, I thought for sure Peart would take Flemings spot instead of Thomas, but alas. I know its just one game, but Peart and Thomas both being rookies, Peart is playing and looked today much more like the 1st round pick than Thomas.
Trash at UGA lol. I’ve been saying this but noooooooo, everyone thought he was a Pro ready tackle. Fucking trash
I don’t know....our OL coach, who I have a lot of respect for, believes Thomas can be a great LT in this league. I don’t think that was just coach speak either.
Other experts also spoke highly of Thomas coming out this year.
write up on Thomas. Please note the part that says whichever team drafts him will need to be patient with his pass blocking....
Looks to me that Sy knows what he is looking at...so calm down. Thomas is probably working on changing his technique to the proper method, so he is stuck between what he used to do and what he must do.
RE: The dumbass brigade is out in full force today...
Perhaps Thomas is the RT of the future?
Imbecile.

You never said it once. Go comb your three pubes son
Wow, yeah you are a fucking scouting geenyus. How come you are not in anyone's front office there, Mr. Geenyus?

Makes sense as far as Thomas taking over early. Doesn't really explain why Peart took back over in the second half though. Did be address that?

The irony of this post is so rich.
