the issue is the decision to throw that, not the resulting call.
It should never have been put in the hands of the referee to decide.
I don’t think anyone questions that. BUt it still doesn’t change the truth of what it was. I can understand why you would choose to discount that, but I think for many you can still criticize the decision while still recognizing the fact of it.
how bad this team is. The #1 pick next year was viable because these two games against Washington are realistically the only games they could be expected to win.
There's a strong possibility that we may come back in 10 weeks from now and find that stopping that 2 point conversion cost this team the #1 pick in the draft.

He should’ve eaten a sack? Throw away wasn’t the problem, it was a good decision. Tough throw, bad luck in the call. But the decision seemed fine.
You mean with someone in his face as he is backpedalling- he is supposed to try to throw the ball towards the back on the end zone out of bounds instead of throwing it to sideline out of bounds or on the ground.
Fact is we don't know for sure- it looked like a throwaway - but it was also another incredibly stupid thing to do as he is backing up. You mean for all the football he has played in his life he is too stupid to realize that backing up and a guy in his face that it might not be a god idea to chuck it straight?
showing up in the game thread. Rooting for a loss this early in the season.
You all suck...and you know who you are.
I just looked there. Unbelievable, how anyone can put as their main concern in week 6 with the # 1 pick 😂
Good way to set yourself up for disappointment
Giants fans ARE miserable. We have been watching miserable football for the better part of a decade. Our team sucks and it has been sucking for some time. It is astounding how ownership could be this clueless. At 1-5, with our only win against a 1-4 team (that we have a ‘right’ to beat, lol) we will be lucky to go 3-13. These years are worse than the 60s and 70s. Winning %s keep dropping 5-11, 4-12. Wishing they were good doen’t alter the reality that G-Man has created.
Cant rewatch the play myself. I’m sure someone can

They were miserable in the SB winning season. It absolutely is a bad team (currently) and their fans are worse (perpetually).

Of course our teams were better than this team during the Superbowl seasons. However, I can recall fans here in the middle of the 2007 season giving up.
DJ was just getting rid of the ball, IMHO. The problem on that particular play, aside from the bad mechanics (throwing off balance and off his back foot), is his arm strength. So he's got to be even more careful than your average QB out there.
I’m confused why you guys were so angry at the guy saying the team and organization both suck. The team and organization have been pathetic for well over 7 years now. Just because we are Giants fans doesn’t mean we have to blindly view the status of the team and organization. It’s bad, really bad. That’s the reality.

Yes!!!
I get the feeling some just want to excuse what you just posted though. Just unwilling to be critical of DJ in much manner.
Gotta start evaluating Jones to Trey Lance and Fields until the NYG
lose themselves back into the TL race (which can still happen). It's becoming more evident by the week that Jones probably isnt't the guy moving forward.
RE: RE: Two incompetent offenses...only one could lose
“Fuck off” is a tad strong but I have to say I’m kind of surprised by sarcasm from an admin after a much needed win. But we’re all a little frayed. Me personally, I’m celebrating a Giants win.
The fact that you're an admin speaks volumes this site.
Blake Martinez wisely ran into receiver Antonio Gibson and knocked him down. I think Gibson was Allen's target, but because he was in front of Martinez and not five yards beyond the line of scrimmage, the knockdown was legal.

I wouldn’t think twice about taking Fields. He’s better than Jones. Lance is the question mark and id rather have Waddle or chase at 3 or 4
You never forget your first win as a head coach or your first win in the NFL. If there’s anything to be optimistic about with the Giants it’s the possibility that Judge might be a legit HC.
Don’t understand the criticism of Jones on the interception
He was throwing it away, Chase Young hit him as he threw (go look at the replay) and the interception was caught out of bounds. But Jones is the problem. Got it.
It’s a win but Giants should try to petition the league office

Because winning 1-4 games is pointless mediocrity. Much better to be the worst in the league than it is to be meh. Meh breeds meh, at least being awful will get the team top talent in the draft*
*If it's not Gettleman picking
I don't feel that way. Rooting to lose is pathetic!
He was throwing it away. That was obvious in real time. It was defected that was obvious in real time as well. And that it was caught out of bounds was blatantly obvious.
This may be true. It's hard to tell but it looks like Slayton cuts in to pylon as opposed to back of end zone there. Curious what the all 22 will say there.
Washington gave up the game probably for the 1st rd choice in the draft lol Can you make it anymore blatant??! No coach would have gone for 2?! Complete joke...
One can certainly questions Rivera's decision to go for 2 in that spot, especially given the ineptitude of the Giants' O.
But if you think ANY NFL HC with a 1-4 record (in the NFL East no less with a soft schedule in the next 4 or 5 games) is trying to lose just to get the top pick in the draft... I don't know what to tell you.
Head coaches and players play to win the game. (Hello!)
I am happy for the team and for Judge. In Judge and his staff, I truly believe we have a solid base to move forward. That said, this is still a terrible team and difficult to watch.
While I love finally seeing a win, and at home, I am not happy we barely squeaked by one of the few teams either as bad or worse than us. And they more lost that game with the decision to go for 2 than we won.
So, it's great that we won. But, I don't feel great about it.
Giants did nothing to win outside of picking up a fumble
And what was it they needed to do outside of picking up a fumble to win? Your wrong BTW, they outscored the WFT.Thats what they did to win. You can pretend they didnt, but they did.
Somehow defensive scores don't count where you are from.
It should never have been put in the hands of the referee to decide.

His elbow hit out of bounds and that isn’t hard to see. Obvious even in real time.
