If players stink, they sit. They're putting everyone on notice that they perform or they don't place, and if they're fringe players and screw up, they're going to lose their jobs. I like the combination of firm but supportive coaching with accountability.
I have a good feeling about him, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. He's got to win football games.
Going winless would be great for the Giants' draft hopes but not so good for JJ's tenure as coach. And I think (hope?) he will end up being a good one.
I feel happy for any human being who gets a milestone
and appears to be a good guy. So congrats. Far from convinced, though, that he is a good coach. For me, the first major crisis of his coaching tenure is to make Garrett do better to win the offense.

They've taken him off the field at times but Peppers needs to be benched defensively, he's that bad. Then this numbskull does back flips after he did jack shit all day coming off of an ankle injury.
His play plus being remarkably done needs to have him put on the bench.

Happy for a NFL HC because he's not going to go winless. That about sums up this organization.

Jimmy Johnson could not win his first year, and he ended up winning multiple Super Bowls. That should be the hope for Judge.
a win is a win. But, this was about as cheap of a victory as you can have in the NFL. we score on an absurd fumble, they come down and score to tie it up and then go for 2 (which against this offense was just criminally stupid on Rivera's part).

The trash that came out on this board following his first W, as humble as it might have been, makes it hard to read threads. Players and coaches alike zeroed in on JJ to give him hugs and 5s. What a crucible the Maras and DG (and predecessor) have handed to him.
Do right by him, get him some players (I'm not as down on Jones as you are--he has minimal support--and, no, he hasn't shone), a half way professional FO and team of scouts, get rid of nepotism in player evaluation.

The rest of the team is absolutely awful.

Yup. I’m most down on Jones though. The defense has been a pleasant surprise for me.

Then it’s clear you know absolutely nothing about football ..

You’re clueless
