Joe Judge said Andrew Thomas violated a team rule. He points out it wasn't anything malicious, but a mistake was made. Thus, Matt Peart's number was called, and he was ready to play.
That makes sense.
81_Great_Dane : 10/18/2020 4:45 pm : link
If it was a performance benching, he wouldn't have come back in so quickly.
Even better
adamg : 10/18/2020 4:45 pm : link
So it wasn't how shitty he's been?
Was the team rule "don't play like trash"?

.
So
Spider43 : 10/18/2020 4:46 pm : link
If Thomas hadn't violated a team rule, we would have lost today?
And Peart delivered
Saquads26 : 10/18/2020 4:47 pm : link
Time to try Thomas at RT, Fleming was awful
That's
AcidTest : 10/18/2020 4:47 pm : link
fine, but Peart did come back in later in the game IIRC. Was Thomas hurt?
He took a whiz in the locker room...
BamaBlue : 10/18/2020 4:55 pm : link
and didn't wash his hands.
Unless I'm mistaken...
Eli Wilson : 10/18/2020 4:56 pm : link
Peart played qtrs 1 and 3. Thomas 2 and 4.
Thomas has been outplayed by Peart
Mike in NY : 10/18/2020 5:01 pm : link
But both have done better than Fleming.
Was he caught wearing a Pledge Pin?
ghost718 : 10/18/2020 5:05 pm : link
WFAN just read a statement from the Giants
US1 Giants : 10/18/2020 5:31 pm : link
it said that Thomas was late to a team meeting last night. That was the rule that he broke.

That isn’t against the rules for this team.
Not to be captain obvious...
Damon : 10/18/2020 5:32 pm : link
And I’m sure it’s been said… I think we were better when Thomas was on the bench.

The following is a quote from Andrew Thomas:

“I was late for our meeting last night. Coach Judge always talks about actions have consequences, and I take responsibility for my actions and the consequences. It won’t happen again.”
Thomas was
japanhead : 10/18/2020 5:44 pm : link
responsible for that weak back-footed endzone have that was picked when the left side collapsed into Jones as he was throwing. Keep him on the bench for all I care.

Peart looked the part.

Flowers II. Another wasted pick.
Maybe he was watching the Bama / Dawg game and
Spider56 : 10/18/2020 5:51 pm : link
got caught up thinking Kirby was going to outsmart the master.

You might want to watch that again.

That’s on Jones. Throw it out the end zone.
Andrew Thomas
cjac : 10/18/2020 5:59 pm : link
Was on the sidelines when the INT was thrown

And Kaden Smith was the one who was supposed to block Young

He did throw it out of the end zone ..l it was a bull shit call.
We keep talking about the INT
cjac : 10/18/2020 6:02 pm : link
And Thomas

He wasn’t even in on the play

And Kaden Smith missed the block

(I also think it was on Jones but it wasn’t on Thomas)
Is the elbow not a part of the body?
LBH15 : 10/18/2020 6:07 pm : link
It was a nice pick though, just a few inches out of bounds.

Bad call but our guys overcome this kind of stuff all the time.
Peary did look good, especially on those backside blocks
barens : 10/18/2020 6:12 pm : link
That Thomas keeps on missing.

Wrong. That was Smith. Stupid play design if you ask me. They doubled the DT and had Smith come from the right side to block the left end.

Count me in as a believer in Thomas. No way am I writing him off. With no preseason, it is on the job training. I expect to see improvement from game to game because I know he is committed to excellence.

Why didn’t he speed and ignore the police if they saw him?

That is what a team player would do.
And here I thought Andrew Thomas was benched because
M.S. : 10/18/2020 7:23 pm : link

He is playing like a street free agent rather than the #4 selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Agreed, unlike Flowers that was dumb as rocks and had no desire to improve. Thomas will be a lot better at the end of the year
I will tell you what
Vanzetti : 10/18/2020 8:09 pm : link
When they called Pearts number he was ready to play

Not saying he is a future HOFer but a quality debut to be sure
Given this information
Matt M. : 10/18/2020 8:14 pm : link
my starting tackles next week would be Thomas and Peart. Where you want to play each of them I don't care. But, both are better than Fleming.
And enough with the INT
Matt M. : 10/18/2020 8:15 pm : link
It wasn't clearly in or out, let alone several inches out of bounds.

Give me a break. This is the 4th overall pick, not 44th. His technique is absolutely putrid. Now, I’m sure you’ll fire back about not having the practice time, etc. But, if you’re picked 4th overall, your technique better at least be adequate. Their 3rd round “project” looked more the part.

Yes it was. Open your fucking eyes. You’re trying too hard to be “unbiased” and coming across as a nitwit. Just stop.
Video of the interception...
