The 2 point conversion?
As I was sitting there yesterday watching the game, initially I was hoping for the Giants to get the stop and the win. But before the Redskins snapped the ball I kind of wished the Redskins would convert the 2 point conversion. One of those "Lose but hey they played hard" games.
Winning against the Redskins does the Giants no favors. Losing sucks. And I'm tired of it. This franchise seems to be just spinning its wheels and keeps making one wrong move after another.
Nearly every game has been close. Winning builds culture and you need to start somewhere.
yea, makes sense.
For many here, the season is just 17 weeks to talk about the draft and root for a higher draft pick. where has that gotten us the past few years?!
This team to needs to win, and understand what it takes to win... and then win more... and continue to build and get better as they are winning... one highly drafted player (TL, or someone else) doesn't just magically make us win the Super Bowl.
Bring on Trevor Lawrence and complete clean up of Gettleman and his arena football league players. Saquon has to go to.
they need to start winning games

Shows your football knowledge. If they had arena football WRs they would be a completely different offense...those guys were all speed merchants.
This team is playing hard and have been a play or two away from winning a few games. yesterday, one of those plays went their way. Thats football. And as long as the Jets are still in the NFL and are participating in next years draft, any thoughs about Trevor Lawrence are not realistic. So get over it.
Fair enough. I guess I'm in the "draft as many quality players as possible" camp, and to do that it's better to draft high then low. I also think Mara needs to reach rock bottom before a drastic change is made.
And get their first win under their belt.
But others on this site have already said what I felt when the clock hit 0:00 -- it was a win that didn't really feel like a win.
And I'll just add the following: A win in which we were out-played by a bottom-dweller.

Again, I rooting for them to get the stop and the win. Before the snap I considered wishing for them to not get the stop and for us to lose.
To my eyes this team has played hard every single week and has played better since the San Francisco game and it was nice to see them earn a W. The team is really young and without a few of its best players. I agree with Romo who said last week that this coaching staff is really strong and the arrow is pointing up.
Some nice positives yesterday included the OL against the Washington front. Individual performances of Freeman, Ryan, L. Williams, Martinez, Bradberry, Slayton. I'm hoping for Peart and Thomas to start at left and right T and send Fleming to the bench.
I'm looking forward to the Eagles game.
2) Get back to culture of winning
3) Judge's first win
4) F the skins...er WFT
Why do you even bother to flood the team at this point?

Winning against Washington does them no favors?? How does losing give them anything?

A win would have tied Washington for first in the NFC East. Divisional games are the MOST critical for any team - being so cavalier with his teams future, the average NFL 2-point conversion success rate below 50%, Washington fans deservingly are calling for his head today.
Incompetent franchises ruin the sport.
But I sure wouldn't have been upset with a result that would have ensured Gettleman's departure.
If Dallas loses tonight, we're a game out of first. The next 5 games are winnable, if we can steal one of 2 from Philly, we could go 4-1 or 3-2. 7 wins may win this crappy division, so let's see what happens.

Not to mention that our O has struggled all season to score TD's and McKissic/Gibson combo was really gashing the Giants so the Redskins had a better chance at winning in OT if they played it conservative versus the chance at converting a 2 point conversion.
I'm not an Eagles fan, and I hope they lose every game...every year.
After WAS scored I said to my wife - oh no, it's going to overtime. Then I said - wait, Washington's going for two! She said, why would they do that?
I need to see Jones' game awareness improve. Live to fight another down and not force plays that aren't there. Properly throw the ball out of bounds, etc.
Maybe if they open an account just for this purpose to keep from revealing their identity.
To the OP, of course you root for the wins while they matter. If this team is 2-13 and playing for #1 overall pick, I'd rather they lose that game and set up with higher draft picks.
It's not rocket science, dudes.
I am not sure if this makes sense but I guess when it comes to game time, I just want the Giants to win. Even though Rivers curiously went for 2, when they failed, my organic reaction was joy. Peppers doing flips is a little odd in retrospect but it's a Giants win and it felt good.
Fans may say - well if they convert or kick the extra point, the Giants may lose. Hey even Daniel Jones first win, Tampa Bay missed a very makeable field goal. We also had 2 loses to Philly and Carolina on back to back years when a kicker nailed a 60 plus yarder. We are going to be gifted and screwed.
