Congrats to Joe Judge for his first NFL win. Regardless of how you see the Washington Football team. He beat an accomplished HC and a team that has good talent on it. We are 1-5 through 6 games. We’ve gotten to see ourselves against an array of skilled opponents. We’ve gotten a gauge for
ourself as a team. But these are where we need Improvement.
Wide Receivers/Play Calling - We are not creating enough separation in the passing game. Either we need to start giving other guys an opportunity or we need to talk to Garrett about opening the hood a bit more because we aren’t threatening offenses deep enough. There needs to be at least 3 designed shot plays taken every game. Just take the 1-1 and give your guy a shot. But all this “curls to the sticks” bs is too predictable and has too stop.
Youth Movement along the O-Line - It may be time to put Fleming down. Better yet. It IS time to put Fleming down. Matt Peart showed Yesterday that he can play, and play well, against good talent in this league. It is more worth while in the development of this team that Peart continues to play and earn experience. It may not be at LT if you want to show Thomas a vote of confidence. But he should be playing at RT. The same goes for Shane Lemieux. Hernandez and Zeitler have both struggled. Hernandez played RG in College. Zeitler may be on the down end. Shift Hernandez over and let Lemieux get in there.
Free Safety Situation - That was the biggest difference I noticed. When it came to the passing game, I saw Julian Love and Logan Ryan the culprits in coverage a lot. Granted. Ryan was asked to do more with the injury to Darnay Holmes. But Love was late and out of position too many times. Hopefully Adrian Colbert comes back and soon and that Xavier McKinney can fit the ground running.
Need to figure out the LW 'situation'. If they view him as a long term piece, then lock him up. Otherwise trade him and let's see what the guys behind him can do.
Hopefully Holmes isn't out long. Really need to see a young DB step up alongside Bradberry.
Need to learn more about LT (which one starts there long term) and RT. Need to learn more about the younger interior guys but all in all that situation is evolving with every passing week.
DL is fine. Williams isn't going anywhere need to be at peace with that. Very good DTs get paid. Fucking pay the guy and be done with it. Add a DE with smoke.
LB is ok but like DL we need an explosive presence there too, although I did like how Carter looked in that role. Still need more depth and talent but there are pieces in place to work with.
DB and notably FS needs to be figured out. Need to see McKinney in action, hopefully soon.
And then there is QB. Keep at it there DJ. Here is hoping he takes a slight step forward which in the NFL can be the hardest or biggest of all steps to take.
Facing a 2 Deep coverage is rarely going to pay off to throw it deep just for the fuck of it.
By the way, I'm not sure what other guys are there to give an opportunity. We had a former practice player out there for half the snaps last week.
I liked the magical thought of snapping fingers and having it work out fine when I was 5. After that, I sort of saw that Samantha was really hot, but just a TV character with no special powers.

These WR are Keystone Kops.

Geezus. I'm watching that and hearing Benny Hill music.

Oh my, that's funny.
"Playing Wide Receiver for Dummies" book was found inside their lockers.
This is another narrative that BBI keeps repeating that isn’t true. Hernandez did not play RG in college. He played LG.
LT - Andrew Thomas
LG - Will Hernandez
C - Nick Gates
RG - Shane Lemieux
RT - Matt Peart
This is the next Giants OL IMO, and the more reps they can get together this year, the better.
LG- Hernandez
C- Gates
RG- Lemieux
RT- Thomas
I think the Gmen should move EE outside for now. They need someone with size at the wideout position.
I want to see Brown playing LB'er morw. He reminds me of Andy Headen..

I like this new FMiC lately. Even the biting sarcasm gets a chuckle from me. I've seen several things from you where objections/alternatives were written against the post and not the poster.
Thumbs up!
To the OP- go back and look at UTEP games when Hernandez was there . You might be surprised by the position he played. Apparently, Love’s best position may be SS. But he’s too small for that role. They need to get more out of him and get something out of Ballantine. Too many UDFA playing all over the place. Happens with bad teams.
Ballentine is barely a roster guy. Oh and by the way, he wasn’t misused by the prior coaches which you heard a lot on BBI. He just isn’t good.

If Love can’t be matched against a smaller receiver , he’s useless . Especially in the red zone where every TE in the league can either high-point the ball on him or drag Love across the goal line. He simply isn’t a safety .
This week Lewis and Love got the shirts. It’s interesting to see where Love and Ryan lineup, that 5th guy in the secondary seems to play slot corner or 3rd safety depending on the coverage.
THe Giants only hope to win games is to suck as much clock as they can on offense while trying not to stick the defense out there over and over again thus keeping the game close and having a chance to win at the end.
Actually, this coaching staff has been really good at that.
It's the only way a roster bereft of talent has any shot to win in the NFL.
JJ, PG, and JG all know that - and they've done pretty well considering the cards they've been dealt.
