I need to see one game where the offense doesn't look totally incompetent. The team plays hard, the defense seems legit if not under manned, but as it stands the offense is bottom 3 in the league and that won't translate to wins
Just doesn’t seem like we have the horses on offense to be competitive but perhaps if the o-line improves dramatically we will see marked improvement all around. The team is clearly improved on defense but the lack of a pass rush will be our Achilles heal against good teams. Still, with Dallas losing we still have a season!

Somebody tried to tell me yesterday that this is like the 70s, in that the Giants have a strong defense and no offense . That’s not really the case . First the 70s unit never had a secondary . It was strong along most areas of the front . But in an era when there was far less passing , the Giants couldn’t cover anyone . Their best cover guy was BVP.
They have a chance to develop a good defense . Then on offense , Garrett can’t open it up because he doesn’t have the wide receivers . If they get Shepard back and Slayton gets healthy over the mini bye it would help .
Ralph said last night that the Giants are underutilizing Golden Tate . Doesn’t Ralph see that Tate basically retired and forgot to tell somebody like Jerry Lucas did his final year with the Knicks ?
The Giants need a playmaker . He’s not on the roster . It’s going to be very difficult to score . Since their wide receivers can’t win early , the Oline is in duress as well . And Jones faces some huge hits . Gruesome potpourri for awhile .

And two plays away from a comfortable win - lame allowed interception and a missed delay of game penalty
